Just a simple oil service Brought my 2004 Pilot for an oil change. Was impressed by the thorough inspection they did on top of it. Looking for a new Honda It is almost time to replace my 2004 Honda Pilot, even though I would like to keep it, since it was the most reliable and perfect car I ever owned! 30 It is almost time to replace my 2004 Honda Pilot, even though I would like to keep it, since it was the most reliable and perfect car I ever owned! 301,000 km with only a minor repair (ca. $200) beside the regular service and the normal wear and tear! So I looked for the 2017 Toyota Highlander, the Honda CR-V and Pilot. The salesperson at Vernon Toyota was pushy and outright lied to me, so I will never buy a car there! What a difference when I came to Bannister Honda, where I was greeted by Christine. She took her time to talk about both, the 2017 Pilot and CR-V in a very friendly and relaxed manner. No pressure there! I was really impressed by the way the CR-V drives and handles. A real pleasure to drive, and even in the basic version equipped with all the important safety features I was looking for. In the end I prefer the Pilot, though, but do not like the flimsy armrest. I got so used to the comfortable center console in my old Pilot, and hope that Honda will offer something similar on their new Pilot in the future. In the meantime I keep driving my old trusted Honda Pilot, since it does not give me any trouble and still is a pleasure to drive. At some point I asked for the sales manager to join the discussion, and found him to be a sympathetic, friendly and trustworthy man. Overall a pleasant experience, and I know now where my next car comes from! P.S.: I drive for almost 50 years, everything from a VW Beetle to two new Audi A6; Porsche 911 and Jaguar on the German Autobahn. Overall the Pilot is the best car I had. While not an expert, I have a degree in engineering and know a little about technology. ;-) More
