Revision to a previous review I thought that Hussein had given us an excellent deal in the purchase of our car, and the personal attention was outstanding. I would still recommend this dealership for purchase of a new vehicle. But beware. We asked for a remote starter for the 2016 Elantra we were about to purchase. The price of this item in the invoice was seven hundred dollars. Bank Street Hyundai Service and Parts department quoted the original Hyundai starter in $550 plus taxes. Thus, the charge seems to be correct. Note that this dealership sells only original Hyundai parts. They don't deal with any other brands, Well, it turned out that the remote starter installed in our car is a generic gizmo for all brands. It is cheaper, of course, than the original part for which we paid full price. The gizmo, been inadequate for our car make and brand, lasted for two months and then it broke down. When dealing with a reputable company, customers deposit on their front-line employees a certain amount of trust. For that reason, I did not expect that we would have to be watching over our shoulder, that we would have to verify every detail. We'll sort this out with the dealership. After all, charging for one item and delivering a cheaper one fully qualifies as fraud. Thus, I don't expect to have too much trouble in either getting my money back (best option) or having the original Hyundai part replaced. It is in their best interest to correct this mishap. This serves me as a lesson. While the prices for new cars are good at Bank Street Hyundai, it is better to purchase the add-on's in another dealership. More

Terrible buying experience Visited Bank Street Hyundai to purchase an Accent in early October 2016. Had a deal worked out with the sales person, gave a $500 deposit on my credit Visited Bank Street Hyundai to purchase an Accent in early October 2016. Had a deal worked out with the sales person, gave a $500 deposit on my credit card but the purchase agreement printed for me to sign wasn't as negotiated. Spent another hour being hard sold by the sales manager. When they wouldn't honour the agreement as discussed, I left only to remember a day later that they still had my deposit. Called to ask for it back and was told to come into the dealership which I did. Made to wait 45 mins for the sales manager, who then proceeded to hard sell me yet again. When I asked for my deposit back, was told that he couldn't do it and it had to be done by finance who were no longer at work. Waited for a call the next day which didn't arrive. I followed up with the original salesperson who told me he would take care of it. Four weeks later, still no cheque. My wife called the salesperson and was told he had forgotten to issue the note to the finance team and would expedite it in 3 - 5 days. Two weeks later, still no cheque. I called and was told "the cheque is in the mail." Still to see if it arrives or not this time. Maybe this dealership has a good reputation if you buy from them, but my experience has been awful. I'll NEVER buy a car from these crooks. Update: cheque arrived a few days after this review. Also got a call from the dealership on 7 Dec which would have been great if it hadn't been to argue with me about this review. Fail, again. More
