Pathetic experience I originally was supposed to go to a different dealership but ended up here as the other dealership was extremely busy (no doubt since they have excel I originally was supposed to go to a different dealership but ended up here as the other dealership was extremely busy (no doubt since they have excellent service quality and would eventually end up getting my business) I went in to have a look at the 2016 kia optima. I was looking to trade my car as well. Walked in to the showroom and was almost instantly greeted by a sales associate, shared info about my car with him and took a test drive of the new optima. Was pretty happy with the car and wanted to make a deal. Here is where things started going down hill. The associate goes inside to get some numbers for my trade. Now i know what my car is worth as i have been shopping around and have a fair idea of what i should expect. He came out with a figure which was about 3-3.5k lesser than what i was getting. He is like what do you want from me to get your sale? Will you buy the car if i get you 3-3.5k more. I was dumbfounded on the pricing offered but nevertheless tried to negotiate and thats when he showed all these extra charges which came close to $2900. Also the prices he was showing were bi weekly numbers. So to clear things out i ask for numbers without factoring in my trade. This is when i realise something is wrong. The kia optima 2016 sxl after tax, freight and pdi comes to 244.04 bi weekly over 84 months @2.79% APR as per kia canada website. The sales associate gives me 282 bi weekly as the price. I ask him how is there an almost $40 difference between what the website shows and what you are offering. He is like oh it does not include admin fees, negative equity and freight and pdi. When i tried to show him that freight, pdi and tax are all inclusive in 244 and the price he stated was without trade in he started cutting me off. I liked the car but didnt like the associates attitude and the way he was going about dealing with me. I shook his hand and left the dealership. Went back to the kia dealership i was originally supposed to go to and got exactly what i expected for my car and no extra fees. Avoid these guys at all costs they are a complete rip off. Be very careful when dealing with them. More
