Went in for an inspection. There were codes and the tech did not provide the actual codes that were active codes in the car. The service manager quoted $4,700 for repairs. It w There were codes and the tech did not provide the actual codes that were active codes in the car. The service manager quoted $4,700 for repairs. It was said that the Anti-lock module needed to be replaced. The older BMW's don't have an integrated anti-lock module, so the pressure sensors can be replaced. The new BMW's have integrated systems for the anti-lock and pressure sensors, so they do need to be replaced. I took it home and found out that it was a brake pressure sensor that the code was for. I ordered one for about $200 and replaced it. The code has not returned and has been fine now. Don't know if the techs need to be trained better or if this is just blatant ignorance on the platforms. I will NEVER go back to Orland BMW for any type of service. More
