I took my vehicle in on Apr 18, 2024 after having a oil change done previous to this at the dealership. They said my oil cooler lines were leaking when I had the oil change done. They sent me what else was change done previous to this at the dealership. They said my oil cooler lines were leaking when I had the oil change done. They sent me what else was wrong with my vehicle, among the oil cooler lines they said to replace both front shocks, they were leaking as well. I thought my extended warranty was still in place, not knowing it had expired three weeks before this. I spoke to the manager in service about covering it under my warranty, and said no they couldn't. At that time he said let me go see where this is at right now. He called me back saying oh they weren't that bad. They didn't need to be replaced right now. So at this time I'm thinking who am I supposed to believe at this point. Why send me the inspection report if they weren't that bad but they figured well we can get 3096.00 from the customer to replace them. Kind of shady to me. I did call GM Canada and they were not willing to do anything either. My arguement to them was that in the last 14 months my vehicle only had like 6000 km put on it. So I had said that my shocks were probably leaking in that time frame and would of been inside my warranty. Also three weeks out of my extended warranty. The vehicle doesn't get driven much. The service manager also had said to me that these would not be covered under the extended warranty anyway. So why purchase the warranty? They covered my engine cooler lines which were 484.00 but I had a deductible on my extended warranty of 200.00 which seems kind of comical as they did put that thru under the warranty but no help with the front shocks which were like the most expensive part to fix. So I guess they can decide if they want to put thru under the warranty if they want. If my warranty would have expired like months later I wouldn't even be writing this review as I wouldn't of even asked. I just did not like the way they handled this, telling me to replace the shocks then saying oh no they are fine, trying to cover for what the mechanic had said. Not very happy with this experience at all! There was like 5400 dollars of services that they said needed to be done. In my mind this is poor on their part, and untrusting. More
