I had a good experience at Scranton Chevrolet. There is one specific reason I did not leave a 5 star review, please keep reading for all the details. All of the staff was very friendly and they kept me in the loop while they searched for the specific 2024 Chevy Trax 2RS model that I wanted. Joe Lewis was my salesman, and he did a great job explaining everything. I purchased my vehicle brand new and I purchased an extended warranty beyond the manufacturer’s warranty as well as tire/rim road hazard insurance. This is where I felt my review score dropped. I had the unfortunate event of scrapping my rim on a curb while driving through a Dunkin’ drive-thru (literally 24 hours after owning my new vehicle)….. total bummer, but nonetheless my fault. The dealership did repair my rim and it looks like new, but they charged me $175 to repair it. I was pretty disappointed that they did not absorb the cost for me after I spent over $30,000 with them the day before. They had the opportunity to go above and beyond to make a customer extremely happy after spending that kind of money and they failed at that. This only proved that they are just like any other dealership out there after a sale is made. Honestly, I just don’t get it because you would think they would want a customer who literally just purchased a brand new car and spent a lot of money there to refer friends and family, but I just can’t vouch for them like that after something like this. It was very unfortunate for something like this to happen almost immediately after buying a new car, but it provided the dealership an opportunity to demonstrate if they were willing to go above and beyond and they did not. Again, after spending over $30,000, I had to spend another $175. I’m not saying don’t go here because I did have an overall good experience, but this small unfortunate situation showed me their true colors after a sale was made.
