I recently purchased a 2025 Silverado High Country from Sherwood Chev, it was my second truck I bought from this dealer and my last. The sales team was calling me for weeks and I finally decided to answer Sherwood Chev, it was my second truck I bought from this dealer and my last. The sales team was calling me for weeks and I finally decided to answer one day. They were trying to get me to trade in my truck, I wasn't really set on buying a new truck at that point but have been thinking about it so I was curious to see what kind of value I could get for my truck on a trade it. My truck had a lot of accessories, lift, wheels, etc. It was $10K just for the lift and wheels alone, I told him this and he proceeded to downplay what was done to the truck and made it sound like it wouldn't be worth as much because of what was done to it. He told me, and I quote "We would probably sell this truck for $47,900 after inspections" They were offering me around, $42 or $43K on trade so he made me believe I was getting a good deal. Fast forward to 3 days later the truck is on their website for $60,780. He obviously lied to me to make a sale, but I shouldn't be surprised. I sent him a text about this, and he blamed it on the appraisers first then said he will check the shop bill, trying to make me believe that a big shop bill was the reason for the inflated price, I guess. The truck was serviced regularly at the dealership so shouldn't of has any problems. I didn't even get any floor mats with the truck, he told me I had to pay for those, first time I ever got a new vehicle without floor mats, lol. More
