New 'used' Odyssey - Amazing Service I just bought my first vehicle from Honda West after driving Toyotas for the last 20 years. This Odyssey had one previous owner with all service work I just bought my first vehicle from Honda West after driving Toyotas for the last 20 years. This Odyssey had one previous owner with all service work being done at Honda West. The vehicle was in excellent condition for a lightly used vehicle but even so the Service dept. went above and beyond to correct the few minor issues I'd noticed on my final pre-purchase inspection. A small tear in the rubber seal liner on the hatchback opening was fully replaced rather than just being glued/siliconed back together and some minor scratches in the body paint were buffed out. A torn zipper in one of the rear leather seats resulted in a complete new cover rather than a zipper repair. I'm so pleased with this extra level of service beyond my expectations and feel this is an indication of how well Honda West looks after its customers and the obvious pride it takes in selling quality used vehicles. More

Water in Taillights We bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey and in 2012 had the taillight replaced under warranty, as it was full of water. It has been filling up with water again over the last year. When we called and left a message asking about this, no one returned our call. From an online forum this seems to be a problem that many Honda Odyssey owners have struggled with. When I drove to the dealership, as no one had returned our call, I was told the taillight was 5 years old and they seemed incredulous that I would think a taillight should last for more than 5 years! Well I do think a taillight, fixed on warranty should last more than 5 years and I think a price tag of over $500 is ridiculous! December 11th update: We had the opportunity to further work with Bob at the Honda West service centre and they took a look at the rear lights on the van at no cost, which was appreciated. Though the final solution that we mutually agreed upon was not ideal, which was drilling small holes in the rear light to allow for drainage, it was inexpensive and may fix the problem. Thanks for working with us. More

I was basically called a liar by Service Manager Bob Macrae. Took my car in on an airbag replacement recall. When I picked it up hours later there was a clear gouge mark on the passenger side dash in front of the air bag compartment from what appears could have been caused by a screwdriver. I immediately brought it to the attention of the service staff who took a picture of it and told me the Service Manager would be in touch. Bob Macrae called me the following morning and told me that he "disagreed". That it never happened at his shop. He talked to the technician and he said he didn't do it. What did he think the guy would say?? I said the guy wasn't telling the truth and Bob came back with . . . I've known him for years, he's a good guy . . .?? So? Bob said he would not take responsibility, that Honda didn't do it. Now what? How do I get any recourse? My car is damaged. I quit taking my vehicles there for service many years ago after I had my CRV in three times to fix the same front end issue which of course I was charged for each time because it was "slightly" different. The decision to not use Honda West for service was made when on my last visit I was told by Service Consultant Darrell Fujita, "I don't want you to by a new car. I'm in the business of selling maintenance". Really? More

There was a problem getting the colour and trims on the HR-V I wanted and I felt I wasn't given an accurate picture of how long it would take to get my car at the time I was making the decision to buy. However, once Majed got involved, I was able to get into a car I am happy with. I appreciated people staying in touch with me while they worked to find my car. Good follow-up since I've taken possession on a few items still outstanding. More

Best Sales Presentation I Ever Received The sales person that I dealt with during my entire sales experience was Nadeem Khan. He provided me with the most thorough sales presentation I have The sales person that I dealt with during my entire sales experience was Nadeem Khan. He provided me with the most thorough sales presentation I have ever received on any car I ever purchased. After asking a few question about the features I am looking for in a vehicle he took me to his office and pulled out the spec sheets for the various trim levels. He went through those spec sheets very methodical and answered any questions I had during that time. Nadeem was honest and upfront when I did not know an answer but always promised to find out. He did not xx his way through those questions like a many sales people I have come across. I respect someone that admits they don't know something but then find the correct answer for me. On the lot he showed me the vehicle I was interested in. Again he was very methodical in presenting the vehicle to me. He started with the outside of the vehicle, the engine compartment, the trunk space, and then the interior. First, he showed me how the interior can be re-configured into all kind of different settings, making the vehicle very flexible. He than, again, very thoroughly explained all the knobs, buttons, levers, screens, etc. After his presentation I was very familiar with the vehicle. We took the car for a test drive and Nadeem allowed me to experience the handling of the car without throwing in a bunch of sales talk or even worse, asking for a buying decision. When we returned he asked if I thought the vehicle match the things I was looking for and I had to say that it was perfect. We went back to his office to do some number crunching. During that time a man by the name of Robert came in and introduced himself as the sales manager. I was impressed that he would come and make the effort to meet me and assure me that they are all working together to give the customer the best sales experience possible and continue on that note and provide the best service experience possible. If you are looking to purchase a Honda I urge you to go and visit Honda West and ask for NADEEM KHAN. You won't get much better service than this young man provided. Hat's off to you, Nadeem! Will definately be back and recommend to others! I had a fantastic experience from the moment I walked through the door. I knew what I wanted and Keith, my sales man, was very respectful and did not I had a fantastic experience from the moment I walked through the door. I knew what I wanted and Keith, my sales man, was very respectful and did not try to sway me to see vehicles I wasn't interested in. Keith was professional, efficient, respectful and so helpful. Gabe, my finance guy, was very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and respectful. Bob, the service manager, went above and beyond to help my situation - even took another staff member out to pick me up and switch out vehicles when a rare service need occurred. All gentlemen handled follow-up calls to and from me in a prompt and capable manner. Honda West is a truly professional and customer focused dealership. I have already recommended Honda West to friends and family! I drove from Lloydminster to Calgary for this deal and would gladly do it again. Thanks so much Honda West Crew!!! More

I needed to replace the battery in my CR-V prior to leaving on a trip to the BC interior in about ten days time. I called Darrell early morning December 10, made my request and I was most pleased whe leaving on a trip to the BC interior in about ten days time. I called Darrell early morning December 10, made my request and I was most pleased when he booked me the 2pm that afternoon. I delivered the car at the booked time. The work was completed and I was on my way about 45 minutes later. This is typical of the quality of service I have experienced with the service personnel at Honda West over the past 15 years I have dealt there. It is a pleasureable experience dealing with these people, and the quality of work performed by the technicians is top drawer. More

Bob came to my aid by answering the phone, diagnosing/suggesting a dead battery (while I was stranded with my 3 year old), driving to my location, boosting my vehicle, getting me in to the ser diagnosing/suggesting a dead battery (while I was stranded with my 3 year old), driving to my location, boosting my vehicle, getting me in to the service center immediately so I was able to pick up my 6 year old from school before the end of the day. He turned an extremely stressful situation into a very positive outcome. Thank you so much for such great service.
