My Mississauga had my Journey from August 2023 BEFORE the warranty was done to repair two things, the driveshaft and the radio/nav system. After going to them for MONTHS to report the problems, they finally agreed to change the radio/nav system and the driveshaft. My truck stayed there for almost FIVE MONTHS! I went back on several occasions and in the fall noticed the interior was covered with leaves (pic) because the sun roof was left open. The truck was not drivable, so it was basically parked and forgotten, oxidized brakes and all.
I finally got my truck back a couple days before the new year and noticed the noise was still there. Called to report the issues and took it back after the new year to do a test drive with the mechanic who fixed it. I was told they fixed some parts on the passenger side and will order the parts to fix the rest of the driveshaft on the passenger side and IF the noise continued, THEN they'll order the parts to fix the driver's side. I asked why not fix both at the same time and was told warranty might kick it back, so best to do one side at a time.
Three weeks later, the passenger side is completed and the noise is still there. I call to ask them to order the parts for the driver side and was told by Elvin, the service manager that the dealership paid to complete the fix of the passenger side so I was on my own to fix the driveshaft on the driver's side.
Elvin, the same service manager who kept reminding me there were others who have been waiting six months for parts and I was at least lucky to have a loaner that I waited weeks to get which, based on the level of the warranty I had, I was supposed to get same day.
The picture shows the current state of the driver side driveshaft. It's leaking oil, same thing that happened to the passenger side and because My Mississauga is so scammy, they sat on this problem for months running the clock on the warranty, fixing one side of the problem and sending you on your way .
But you're to be grateful that you got a loaner and one side of a two sided problem fixed. Oh! and scraping the oxidation off your brakes and 10% discount on a future oil change. Such a generous service manager.
