I recently purchased a used vehicle from Kentville Toyota and the service I received was second to none. I was treated as though I’d bought a new top tier Toyota but in fact it was a used Chevrolet. I had a minor issue while driving home and when contacted, without hesitation, was told to take it to a local shop and send them the bill. It turned out to be a more complicated problem than expected and they asked if I would return it to them to do the work. I agreed. They took the truck in, did the work and provided me with a courtesy car for the day. I would highly recommend Kentville Toyota!

My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport (manual) developed an engine - Ticked off

My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport (manual) developed an engine misfire after nearly a year of ownership from new. Under load, the valves could be heard chattering and the engine would shake while idling. It basically worked miserably, and returned 15 mpg!A little over a year later back and forth to the dealer, Anchor Toyota could not resolve the issue. Seriously? Toyota trained technicians? I contacted Toyota Canada, and I might have well just talked to a brick wall. After dealing with Toyota telephone operators, who kept referring me back to the dealership, I asked to speak to someone with some “authority”. I was contacted by Amanda Myers, who advised me that she worked in the Presidents office. (Questionable, personal opinion) After discussing my issues with the truck, the only response I received were endless scripted “I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do”. I was advised to take the truck to another dealership at my expense! The only thing coming out of Toyota Canada mouths is what makes the grass grow green. A two year old truck under full warranty and I have to pay out of pocket? What has happened to this company? Absolutely NO customer care anymore. It’s like dealing with General Motors, maybe worse. I have posted a letter to Toyota Japan, but have yet to get a reply. Maybe the parent company can help, but I’m very doubtful. Thanks Anchor Toyota ( Steele Auto Group) and Toyota Canada for wasting my time and money. Much appreciated.

Extremely Overpriced - George

Extremely overpriced. I searched and picked a car but when compared the price, at least $2000 overpriced than the average car price even a lot of issues in the used car. I won't recommend those.

I went in for an oil change which is usually about $50. The total cost was $100, because they upgraded the oil to the most expensive they had with out asking for my consent. They told me that the truck needed a water pump and it would cost $212 to replace it. I had to ask the owner of the truck and said. I would get back to them. when I made the service date I confirmed the price was $212 installed they confirmed. The total bill was almost $492. The service manager Donna Dion, talked to the owner Gordon Muise, then asked me for my keys to check the vin number on the truck, walked to the door turned around and waled over to me and informed me that the owner said that I was to pay the or they were going to keep my truck. I asked Donna Dion if I could talk to the owner and she said " Gordon Muise does not to be bothered with you. They never apologized for their error in the quote, or for lying to me in order to get my keys. This is not what I would call good customer service, or a good dealership. The other people in the waiting area were unhappy with the customer service and said they were going to get their warrantee work done elsewhere next time. If you get work done here expect to pay more than the quote, and bring extra keys. You probably will not be happy, and the owner probably won't want to be bothered with you either.
