My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport (manual) developed an engine - Ticked off
My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport (manual) developed an engine misfire after nearly a year of ownership from new. Under load, the valves could be heard chattering and the engine would shake while idling. It basically worked miserably, and returned 15 mpg!A little over a year later back and forth to the dealer, Anchor Toyota could not resolve the issue. Seriously? Toyota trained technicians? I contacted Toyota Canada, and I might have well just talked to a brick wall.
After dealing with Toyota telephone operators, who kept referring me back to the dealership, I asked to speak to someone with some “authority”.
I was contacted by Amanda Myers, who advised me that she worked in the Presidents office. (Questionable, personal opinion)
After discussing my issues with the truck, the only response I received were endless scripted “I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do”. I was advised to take the truck to another dealership at my expense! The only thing coming out of Toyota Canada mouths is what makes the grass grow green.
A two year old truck under full warranty and I have to pay out of pocket?
What has happened to this company? Absolutely NO customer care anymore. It’s like dealing with General Motors, maybe worse.
I have posted a letter to Toyota Japan, but have yet to get a reply. Maybe the parent company can help, but I’m very doubtful.
