$1,100 to change a starter motor . - pjyknt
$1,100 to change a starter motor .. . Really! . . . Got our 2010 Jeep Grand Moneypit towed into Aurora Dodge Yellowknife, it was a no crank no start scenario. Aurora said the starter was sticking and it may or may not last, I said go ahead order another one, they said OK, and come and pick up your vehicle that was a $368 charge. so I go out to drive it away, and no start, so I left it there waste of my time and money, as I figured out later, had I not come out and paid the $361 I would have saved $51, which was for shop supplies that gets tacked on to every order that they will not itemize. After I paid and got a ride home, they opened another work order, automatically charging me another $51 on the $730 bill for the actual starter. When inquiring to the manager, we found her to be quite rude. She would speak over us anytime we express a concern She would just talk loudly talk over us like a corrupt politician. She would not listen to anything we tried to say, just repeating her same talking points over and over again even to the point where she would conjure up list of things on this mysterious shop supplies list .. . seat covers . . .windshield washer fluid .. car mats . coveralls . . she would just triumphantly spout these nonsense words any time we tried to talk. I found the whole experience to be sickening that this is what passes for acceptable these days .. .This is by not the first bad (and ridiculously expensive) experience with this place, just the fist time it has moved me to write about.
