OK Tire Gander and their manager Danny Simms have been charged under the Highways Traffic Act of Newfoundland and Labrador with the very serious offense of “Unlawfully issue vehicle inspection certificate without inspecting vehicle” (see Trial Notice for March 9, 2026 on Gander Court Docket). This vehicle, a 2017 Chev Equinox, was later fraudulently sold to me James Coffin of Lewisporte by Lakeview Chrysler on June 19, 2025. The experienced and professional Highways Enforcement Officer who issued Ticket # 04 502 575 recommended that OK Tire lose their licence to issue safety certificates for 1 year and this is in fact the minimum sentence for a first time offence. This additional offensive criminality by Danny Simms and OK Tire Gander does not detract from the criminality of Lakeview Chrysler and I will soon start availing myself of every complaint procedure that I am aware of to see justice done to them and their criminal employees Service Manager Steve Snook, used car Sales conman Roland Gallant, and their General Manager Keith Dickey. Both Danny Simms and the Company OK Tire had a lawful “duty of care” to ensure that the vehicle was safe and roadworthy, and both he and the Company “knew or ought to have known” that the vehicle was NOT safe and roadworthy. Worst dealership ever - RobynB

In the process of dealing with an issue 2 months after I bought my vehicle. Being told that my loan wasn’t done properly and I need to return my vehicle because of an error on their part. The finance person I was dealing with was fine to deal with however he was just the middle man aa he was being told something by the general manager and then calling me then going back to the GM and so on. So I thought it made more sense to cut out the middle man and go directly to the GM. I have to say, I have never in my life dealt with someone so rude and unprofessional in my life. He constantly downgraded me and made it out that I did something wrong when in fact is was a mess up by his dealership. I tried to work something out with him and just got shut down because it wasn’t exactly what he said. He kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me speak at all. If you can not control your anger maybe you shouldn’t be running a business! I would recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible!

Platinum sheild Protection module - JeffNf

Brought vehicle to the dealer to get platinum shield protection module checked as light was not on. They checked the issue and said the module needs to be replaced. It could not be done that day because it had to be approved by the manufacturer of the module. I live 500 kms from dealer and when I purchased the vehicle I was told there is a local garage in my community that does minor warranty repair for them. Asked if they could send module out and get local garage to install. Service manager said this cannot be done because the local garage has never installed one and pictures would need to be taken. The work involved consists of plugging the module in to an electrical plug and mounting on a strip of Velcro. Doesn't get much minor than that. In regard to pictures I would think this could be done by almost anyone. This is the second one I had to get replaced in 5 years and the dealer installed and checked the wiring twice now. will not purchase here again.
