This is very hard for me to say but Funks Toyota screwed - opa4john
This is very hard for me to say but Funks Toyota screwed up in my mind they are still the best outfit out there but They Screwed up. My fabulous 2010 tundra of magnificent piece of machinery has some issues the sensors or should I say all the sensors started misbehaving which blew my mind. Show the original quote was thousands of dollars but that's the way it is when you have a truck that has 315,000 km it did not surprise me and then my nephew who is a senior executive with Toyota opened my eyes about dealerships. I will not repeat what he said because I don't want to get sued but it's sad. The service department fellow that's in charge his name is Chuck what a wonderful guy I like them very much he's brilliant and he's not a BS r but like every other dealership he has to sell stuff needed or not that's what every dealership does and if you don't realize that you're out to lunch. Here's the problem my brother-in-law picks up the truck cause he was coming out of Alberta so it saved me a six hour round-trip to get the truck first thing he said was does your truck have overdrive and of course I said yeah of course it does well it wouldn't go into overdrive the second thing he said was I heard all this stuff smashing underneath the tires well that was driver side wheel well cowlings I guess the mechanic forgot to put the bolts back. Second problem was underneath the front bumper all part of the same issue because of the work that was being done to the truck none of the bolts were put back so it was just flopping around and still is which probably caused the other problem the next problem was the service engine light came on right on again 20 minutes into his drive . This was one of the big issues that truck went in to get fixed.
No my big problem is I am a perfectionist I don't like garbage I don't like lies and I don't like con artists.
I have made a decision to buy a brand new truck end of this year beginning of next year one that I can order specifically to my needs which was going to be a Toyota because of the family deal to get money off of course but I don't think I will try I will probably buy a Ford product which I think is Second to Toyota quality that's a shame because
my entire family even my ex-wife who I had to buy a Highlander for and all the rest of my family have Toyotas so there you have it.
Funks Toyota still in my mind is the best dealership around but they've had and I would like to think this an apprentice or something like that but the stuff back together well that's too bad they just lost themselves a good customer as well as that information going back to Japan with my senior executive nephew from Toyota shame on them.
