I purchased a vehicle from Birchwood Nissan along with a 4-year coverage warranty. Before agreeing to the warranty, I specifically asked the sales manager what would happen if I sold the vehicle during the coverage period. I was told I would have two options: either transfer the remaining warranty to the new owner or request a refund for the unused portion.
After selling my vehicle—with two years still remaining on the warranty—I contacted Birchwood Nissan regarding the refund. However, the Finance Manager told me I wasn’t eligible for any refund. I explained that the sales manager who handled all my documents clearly told me a refund would be possible. The Finance Manager then directed me to contact customer service.
I reached out to customer service and explained the entire situation. After more than two days with no response, I followed up again. The next day, they told me I was not eligible for a refund and that if I wanted one, I should “give a shout” to the sales manager who originally sold me the vehicle. That was their only solution—no support, no accountability.
I'm extremely disappointed by how this was handled. It feels misleading and unprofessional. I was given inaccurate information to make the sale, and when I tried to resolve it, I was passed around without help. Customers deserve honesty and proper service, not to be told to go chase down a salesperson for answers.
