I purchased a new car from Nissan King George in November - Rfamily
I purchased a new car from Nissan King George in November 2024, trading in my 2021 car. As part of the deal, the manager, Bob, promised in writing to include four snow tires as an incentive and return the dash cam from my previous car. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
After the purchase, I discovered that the tires installed on my new car were all-weather, not snow tires as promised. I immediately contacted Bob via email to address the issue. Instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, he tried to convince me that all-weather tires are the same as snow tires—which, as anyone familiar with Canadian winters knows, is absolutely incorrect.
As for my dash cam, I have yet to receive it back or even an update on its whereabouts, despite following up multiple times. It’s now January, and these broken promises have caused significant inconvenience. I’ve had to cancel two family trips because I don’t feel safe driving in certain areas with inadequate tires. This situation has added unnecessary stress that could have been avoided if the dealership had simply delivered on its promises.
What’s even more frustrating is the dealership’s sales tactics. While I was trying to make my decision, the manager walked in and filled my head with promises that sounded great on paper but were ultimately left unfulfilled—all just to close the deal. The moment I signed the papers, they immediately started asking for reviews and sending guest satisfaction surveys, despite not delivering on what was promised.
What’s most upsetting is the dismissive and condescending attitude I’ve encountered. As a woman, I felt patronized and underestimated, as though I was expected to accept unfulfilled promises without question.
Now, I’m forced to pursue a small claims court case to get the minimum of what was agreed upon. This entire experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and financially draining. I strongly advise others to be cautious and hold this dealership accountable if you choose to do business with them.
