Consistently Poor Service and Unprofessional Behavior
I've had multiple disappointing experiences with Audi of Richmond spanning over a decade, and unfortunately, nothing has improved.
Initial Purchase Issues (2012)
My relationship with this dealership started poorly when I purchased my 2012 Audi Q5. The sales manager was incredibly rude throughout the process, setting the tone for what would become a pattern of unprofessional service.
Service Department Failures
The service department proved equally problematic. When my rear suspension needed repair, they repeatedly fumbled the job, demonstrating a clear lack of competence. The poor service was so frustrating that I eventually had to take my vehicle to Capilano Audi, where the work was completed properly. This speaks volumes about the quality gap between dealerships.
Used Car Sales Experience
Recently, I attempted to purchase a used vehicle from them, but encountered more unprofessional behavior. The car was clearly overpriced, and when I made a fair and reasonable offer, the staff laughed at me, dismissing my offer while citing their "AI-driven pricing." The irony? The same car sold to my friend a month later for significantly less than my original offer. This shows either incompetence in their pricing strategy or deliberate disrespect toward customers.
No Test Drives Policy
Most recently, I visited with a friend to look at an Audi S5 and S3. Shockingly, they informed us that they don't provide test drive services. This makes absolutely no sense - how can any customer make an informed decision on a significant purchase without experiencing how the vehicle drives? This policy is not only unusual but demonstrates a complete disregard for customer needs.
Final Thoughts
After over a decade of poor experiences - from rude sales staff and incompetent service to unprofessional pricing practices and absurd policies - I can confidently say this is the worst dealership experience I've ever had. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other Audi dealerships that actually value their customers and provide professional service.
