Best Car Shopping Experience! My first car was from an independent dealership; bought as-is with quite a few outstanding issues. It was a VW Touareg; and we brought it to Yorkdale My first car was from an independent dealership; bought as-is with quite a few outstanding issues. It was a VW Touareg; and we brought it to Yorkdale to get a rundown on what was needed. Ever since that day, we have been receiving outstanding service from them. For the three years I had that car, they supported every issue we had and would work with us when prices got a little steep. The car was a mess when we got it - Dave (mechanic) would literally work his butt off to get this car back to shape, and always efficiently get service done with clear explanations and timelines. So when it came time to throw in the towel on the vehicle, Raquel (the best service representative we've ever had) introduced us to Artur, one of the sales reps who she promised would help us out with a great financing rate and a good plan for a newer car. She knew I wasn't prepared to get a new car; my old one had just one too many problems that weren't worth the cost of fixing it for the year and KM's. I didn’t want to just go with them because they were who we were familiar with, so I shopped around. I went to another VW dealership with a better priced Touareg, and it was a night and day difference. The service, the energy, the people – everything felt very standoffish. Then I went to an Acura dealership to look at a car there – to find out their interest rates are insanely higher, and they didn’t seem very interested in discussing options or trying to reason with the vehicle price. So we went back, and we almost thrown a welcome party when we did. VW Yorkdale is a family environment; we felt that from the first visit. Once you become a regular, it feels like you’re coming in to see your relatives. My spouse drives a BMW and has never in life felt the same way he feels when coming into this dealership. If you are considering buying a VW, please come here. They will work with you. They are honest about charges; what you can afford and can’t and won’t try to sell you a car that’s not in your price range. They will work within your wants and means, and they won’t make you feel like you’re being bamboozled doing it. They are the type of service center that makes you never want another make of car. The entire service department is friendly and welcoming, and Artur was amazing as a sales rep. Gary (sales manager) went out of his way to make sure they could accommodate the payment plan I needed. I was blown away at his level of dedication to ensuring we were satisfied. Raquel (service manager) is close to getting a Christmas dinner invite. I could not be happier with my decision to stay with them, and know that I'll always be well taken care of. More
