We had nothing but trouble with our 2018 Ford Escape. In March 2025, we paid for an extensive diagnosis and then almost $7000 in repairs. Two months later they said the car needed another $5000 in repairs. We decided instead to trade it in. Luckily the dealership had a Mazda on the lot. The negotiation was questionable at best (they said one thing but at the last minute put in a different number for our trade-in value) but we ultimately traded in ourFord for the Mazda. The final straw was when I went to pick up the Mazda - they charged me over $400 for the diagnosis of the problems with the Ford I was trading in. They needed to diagnose it anyway and so essentially I paid for that. Don't buy a FORD and if you do, don't use this dealership. More
Wanted to sell my vehicle which I no longer use so I went to several dealerships to get a price. I have a Honda Civic. Went to 2 Honda dealership to get a cash offer because friends told me I would probably to several dealerships to get a price. I have a Honda Civic. Went to 2 Honda dealership to get a cash offer because friends told me I would probably get the most from Honda. My friends were wrong. Both Honda dealerships were awful in terms of customer service. Although Ford did not offer me the most for my car, Nick the sales manager, was extremely polite and professional. I didn't end up going to Ford to sell my car but because of how impressed I was with my interaction with Nick, my next vehicle will either be a Ford or Toyota. Dependability of a car is very important (that goes without saying) but customer service is a very close second. In my book both Ford and Toyota (Ken Shaw) impressed me and for that I will keep both in mind in the future. Honda and Mazda not so much. More
Terrible dealership and company. They kindly have a TSB which means they acknowledge the issue but refuse to fix it. If you buy a ford, you can expect to not get any customer service or accountability. This dealership told me to pay to replace the engine or scrap the car. More
This dealership is a joke they advertise vehicles they don't have in stock, then blame every one except there own bad service. If there rude and ignorant when enquiring about a vehicle they claim to have don't have in stock, then blame every one except there own bad service. If there rude and ignorant when enquiring about a vehicle they claim to have in stock God help the poor sod who needs a problem addressing on a vehicle you may have purchased. There are thousands of Ford dealers my advice is avoid this bunch of cowboys and go spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. More
I have never owned a Ford vehicle, and this would have been my first foray into Ford. Now I understand my hesitation. This was the worst buying experience I have ever had. The pressure tactics were been my first foray into Ford. Now I understand my hesitation. This was the worst buying experience I have ever had. The pressure tactics were intense and so obvious. And I was made to feel like they were doing me a favour just by selling me a vehicle. They started off by saying they wanted my repeat business, then did absolutely nothing to show me that was the case. Even though they didn't have the exact vehicle I wanted, they did nothing to assist with modifying another to meet my needs. Including refusing to put a towing hitch on it. At my cost! Then they tried to force me into financing the vehicle by telling me they would keep the ownership for six months if I purchased it outright. I will be buying a couple of new vehicles in the next year or so. And I can guarantee, they won't be from Yorkdale Ford. The worst car buying experience of my life. More
This is my first experience with an American brand vehicle, and I must say it’s been the worst one! Total miscommunication, false promises, three defect rims and the list goes on and on and on. vehicle, and I must say it’s been the worst one! Total miscommunication, false promises, three defect rims and the list goes on and on and on. Those defect rims gave me 3 flat tires overnight; I missed my work that day and had to take Uber to work for a couple of days to address the issue in the meantime. They also lost my own spare tire bolts! The best part is I contacted the dealership’s Service Manager with absolutely no “positive” results! I also called the Ford of Canada customer relationship centre and spent over 40 minutes explaining the situation. They promised to get back to me, but I haven’t heard back from them since! “I lost my trust in Ford” More
I tried to buy out a lease and change dealerships as Yorkdale is much closer to where I live. Claudio took a month to respond and then made the process so difficult that I went back to my other dealer. Yorkdale is much closer to where I live. Purchased a new manual GT Premium from this dealer. I could put up with the glitchy electronics and the plastic interior, but the manual transmission was a joke! More than just it being vague, it is extremely harsh. Ford and this dealer says that this is normal...apparently I'm not the only customer who disagrees, see: https://driving.ca/auto-news/news/shift-for-brains-mustang-owners-sue-ford-over-transmission-issue I sold this Ford lemon for a Dodge Scat Pack and couldn't be happier. This dealer was absolutely useless in helping to resolve the problem. Yorkdale is concerned about sales, once you buy the vehicle you are on your own...disgraceful! I'll never by a Ford again! More
I have never been so disappointed with purchasing a vehicle. If I had known that I could have asked another dealership to find the vehicle I was looking at, I would have done so. The employees at Yor vehicle. If I had known that I could have asked another dealership to find the vehicle I was looking at, I would have done so. The employees at Yorkdale Ford are liars, they doge questions after your purchase, do not respond to emails, used pressure tactics and spoke to my male friend despite me being the one purchasing. I trusted them to be honest - my mistake, but I hope others can learn from my mistake. When discussing the vehicle, a second sales associate interrupted to grab the file - despite it being on an excel doc that they an all access to, then proceed to speak on speaker phone while grinning and looking over discussing the vehicle with a "potential" buyer. They double charged me for plate transfer. When I asked about the charge, they lied and stopped responding. They charged $10 for OMVIC which I believe govern how they conduct themselves, I believe they breached. The vehicle was to be cleaned before pick up - it was not and had to ask the associate to clean it on the spot. I was promised car washes due to this and 2+ months later, I am still waiting. I have contacted the associate many times, and nothing. Do not deal with this location. More
