I responded to their advertisement for a Rav4 Plugin SE car for sale and in-stock. I received an email response that the car was here and to come in. Upon arrival told me they havent had this car instock for a while and that I should look at the Rav4 Plugin XSE which was 60K$. I reluctantly agreed. Even went for a test drive. Returned to the sales person's desk and was thinking of buying it even if was 10k$ more than what I came for. Then he tells me the car is really 65k$ plus tax. At that point the bait and switch became obvious even to a slow learner like me. I thanked him and left. Not often I get two black eyes from a big name dealer that I thought about spending a year's salary with. First they wasted my time by lieing about a car they dont actually have, 2nd the guy lowballs me on his switch tactic and then raises the price. I realize that this is what they teach in the used car business to new people starting in sales. Did not expect that from a reputable Toyota dealer. This is why people like ordering Tesla. Click, pay and pickup. No nonsense. I would order a Toyota today if I could order on their web page and specify a dealer to pick up from. More
