We did have some learning moments on our post-mortem with this. So that you know the discussion/learning was: Mistakes are going to happen, and unless any reasonable person would have known it was a mistake (i.e. price listed at $1,100 not $11,000) then have to honour it until able to run a retraction. And to state what should have been obvious, a proper retraction doesn’t mean making a correction in real time while the customer is here since that would be indistinguishable from a misleading advertising practices and be horrific for “The Helpful Friendly Dealership” brand we hold ourselves to. I was shocked at what your team did right in front of us. Granted they did explain they made a mistake but they waited to say anything until after the test drive and then left us sitting in the room for 20 minutes while they went and changed the ad on Auto Trader. We did our research. Your car was a good deal but even at the asking price of $18997 it was the second most expensive for sale in the GTA last week. We ended up getting an LTZ, the most expensive one for sale on that specific day. I expect behaviour like this from shady roadside dealers but not a reputable dealer like yourself. Your ratings on customer service were high which is why we made the drive down. Again thanks for the note, I hoped you learn from this. Customers should come first, unfortunately you let us walk out the front door.
