I visited Westgate Chevy to inspect their selction of used vehicles and possibly strike a deal for two vehicles for myself and my wife. They had a great selection of SUV's and was able to find both a ful used vehicles and possibly strike a deal for two vehicles for myself and my wife. They had a great selection of SUV's and was able to find both a full size and mid size to suit us both. The used sales staff (Corey Pappas) was very friendly and professional and went above and beyond what i expected or have experienced previously at other dealers. Throughout the whole process dealing with both Corey And Katherine and was very pleased with the level and ease of service. This continues to be the case working through some minor service issues where Corey again as exceeded my expectations in following up on an issue and adressing this issue. As I was in the market for a newer model to replace the 2006 Sierra I was currently driving, I had been searching GM dealer websites for a reasonably optioned/priced used Sierra or Silverado. My search brought me to Westgate Chevrolet, where I was greeted by Fred Pawlenchuk. As I had visited several dealerships lately, it was a welcome change to deal with a used vehicle salesperson who was not pushy, and showed me respect, regardless of my young age (23). Fred seemed to understand that I would make my decision whether or not to purchase a truck on my own, and didn't need or want the "sell". I was offered a test drive of the 2008 Sierra that I was interested in, and upon leaving the lot, Fred's first question was "where would you like to go?". A far cry from the "Take 'er around the block and see what you think" attitude I'd gotten from other dealers. During the test drive, Fred didn't try to up-sell the truck, or talk my ear off about extra features. He simply let me drive the truck and get a feel of how it performed. After arriving back at the dealership, he simply asked "what would you like to do now?". I asked that they show me their best offer on my trade-in, and while my truck was being valuated, Fred provided me with the inspection reports and build-out sheets for the truck, without my even asking (A+). I was also very pleased that the sales department at Westgate Chevrolet gave me a very fair price for my trade (more than double what another big-three dealer offered me). The financing process was a breeze, given the courteous and professional financing staff. There was never any pressure to purchase extended warranty - though I had already decided I would extend the factory warranty before it was offered. Because of the financing departments proficiency, I was able to have my insurance company fax the necessary information to the dealership, and drive my new truck home that day! I cannot say enough about the staff at Westgate, specifically Fred Pawlenchuk (sales), and Katherine Kabaroff (financing). I would happily recommend anyone in the market for a vehicle to drop in and give them a shot, and will certainly go back when it's time for my new truck to be replaced. More
I was referred to Westgate Chevrolet by my boss who happens to know Gary Ball- she promised that if I went to see Gary I would have a great experience- which I did! I needed to go to Westgate Chevrolet at a time that Gary wouldn’t be able to be there, so he told me to ask for Keith Fuhr- and promised me that he would take care of me. I generally dislike going to car dealerships because I’ve had negative experiences in the past. The minute I sat down with Keith he made me feel comfortable. He was super friendly and took the time to get to know me and what my needs were. Keith was very patient and went through multiple options with me, because I hadn’t yet decided exactly which truck I wanted. I never once felt pressured and I felt like I was speaking to someone I had known for a long time and that I could trust. Keith found me a fantastic truck which was exactly what I wanted both on the interior and exterior- and most importantly it fit within my budget which I was very happy about. Once I purchased the vehicle Keith went through everything with me- including the Onstar and setting up my Bluetooth, I didn’t feel rushed. My boyfriend and I were very impressed with Keith and it was a very positive experience. In addition to great customer service by Keith, the financing person- Patti Kehoe was excellent. She was very thorough when explaining the warranties and packages and I didn’t feel pressured. I would definitely recommend Westgate Chevrolet to anyone looking for a great vehicle at a great price and fantastic customer service with an efficient team of staff who make you feel comfortable. I have purchased several vehicles in the past but no experience was a positive as the one I received at Westgate AB. I pulled into the parking lot and Frank Meloche was there on the lot to greet me. He was very approachable and willing to answer all of my questions. He explored with me my options for a vehicle based on my needs. It never once felt like it was about the sale for Frank. It was always about what I wanted and what I could afford. I spent several hrs over a two day period with Frank and his team. It was a great experience. I felt welcomed and a part of the "family". Even my little girl was welcomed with treats and toys to play with (Thanks Patti). I walked away on that Saturday feeling so happy and content about my new vehicle purchase. The communication didn't stop there though. Frank continued to connect with my on my travels back to MB with interest of how I was enjoying my vehicle and my actual vacation. It felt as though I knew him for years. Frank and his team (Vance, Patti), also were great and more then helpful to me once I returned back to Thompson MB. I ran into some minor issues in Mb while registering my vehicle . After several days of correspondence, Frank, Pattie and Vance worked together and was able to rectify my issue. I am so grateful and lucky to have pulled in to that parking lot that day and to have met such wonderful people. I feel sad that I won't be seeing them on a regular bases for my vehicle services, but I surely will stop by to see them on my next travel to Edmonton. This particular vehicle purchasing experience all started w/ an inquiry we made after browsing the internet. Nancy's response was more than prompt and(the vehicle we were interested in had a deal pending)the next day Nancy let us know the vehicle was available. Nancy was not available the following day, but had all the arrangements made so when we showed up Art was there to take us for a test drive, took oodles of time to explain the features of the car(when you only buy every 5 years or so,some of the technology is intimidating)and then without any urgency worked out a better than listed price,and equitable trade allowance. Next was Doug - came away w/ a bruise or two here, but nothing that was not expected and still a good price. Brent, in finance, was more than helpful and again no rush. We came back two days later to pick the car up - Nancy had had it put inside the nite before, out of the hail - it was all polished up and ready to go. No rush though - met w/ Katharine, who again took all the time necessary to complete the bill of sale and to ensure we were satisfied. Nancy then spent time(even running over in to another appointment because we asked so many questions) going thru the On Star w/ both of us and then a tour of their facility - reception / offices / service department / body shop. Have to say - and we(seniors) have been around a bit - without a doubt,that we will refer Westgate to family, friends and co-workers. Everyone, - Nancy, Art, Doug, Brent, Katharine, Receptionists, all the Sales Staff we went by(each and everyone said hello), Service Department Staff - was cordial, polite, interested that you were being looked after, upbeat and cheerful. Not one time that we felt overwhelmed. The culture at Westgate is just great and someting you need to experience the next time you purchase a vehicle. More
It was really nice deal with Nancy. She was very responsive with comunications. And when we met her we felt very comfertable with her. I just purchased a 2007 Escalade, my experience with this business started with Mr. Fred Pawlenchuk "Sales”, the best sales person you can ever find, its not easy to find a sales person who cares about you and doing his best to give you a the best service. Fred has excellent communication skills with customers, finally we came to a deal and I got my Escalade. Since I got my Escalade I was hearing a noise from the front suspension, I took it back to the dealership service and they found that my suspension need to be replaced and they gave me a quote for over $1900 to fix this. I was un happy and I went back to the used car offices and asked for the manager, they forward me to Mr. Colin Heisler, I was expecting to have really bad argument and I was sure that I will need to fight for this, because I shouldn't be paying over $1900 just after few days of purchasing the car. After representing my self to Mr. Colin and telling him my story, I was extremely surprised the way he act and respond to me. He told me “No way you are paying for this, I will take care of this, give until tomorrow and I will solve this issue” This is what really happened, he contacts me in the following day as he promised and told me that they ordered the parts for me and I will pay nothing. I am very happy and satisfy and I extremely recommend this business. I don’t think you will get better than this service. I am planning to buy a second car for my wife and for sure my next car will be only from this place. I will take this opportunity to thank Fred and Colin for there service and care. Would recommend this dealership because Keith and Gary were very professional, knowledgeable,and best of all not pushy! Went in looking for a Camaro, we weren't familiar with the various trim lines on the were very professional, knowledgeable,and best of all not pushy! Went in looking for a Camaro, we weren't familiar with the various trim lines on the Camaro, but had all our questions answered. We had come in twice early in the week, and then back on the Friday evening ( another bonus, as all the other dealerships in the area were closed) and spent a couple of hours looking and test driving. We left at closing time, went to window shop at another dealership down the road, and returned about half hour after closing time to look at the selection at Westgate. Keith saw us looking at the Camaro's, and took the time to answer our additional questions- much appreciated and not expected on our part- as the dealership was closed. We returned on Saturday morning to test drive another Camaro, the one we had thought we would buy, and found it didn't quite suite our needs. We talked to Keith about the convertible option, and once again he answered all our questions. At that point we asked for a price on the car, he gave us one and we wanted to go and think about it. We felt no pressure, and came back in a couple of hours to sign the deal. All very quick and efficient, but again, not rushed or pressured. Also dealt with Brent ( finance) for a short time, as this was a cash deal, he too was very friendly. Came back on the following Monday evening to pick up our new purchase. Gary took the time to go through the vehicle step by step. We appreciated the relaxed, but professional approach at Westgate. Very impressed with the attention to detail in this whole process. More
