Above and beyond customer service. My experience here was beyond awesome. I've been looking to buy a used car for almost 3 months and I've been to a couple of dealerships/car lots, and none of those are as friendly, knowledgeable and transparent as the staff here. I came here to check the 07 Acura RDX and the moment I walked in the parking lot I was greeted by Yemi, who welcomed me with a smile. From that point on, I realized that I was on the right place. To make things simple, everything went smooth and I didn't felt like I am being pressured to buy. What I like about the whole experience is that I asked for time to think and he gave me just that, without the "buy this now or else..." look from the other salesmen that I've encountered so far. Yemi introduced me to Nicole, who explained all I need to know about financing the vehicle and she answered all my questions as well. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. I work as a manager for a fastfood restaurant and I know one thing about customer service and the one I received here is beyond my expectations. Kudos to Yemi and Nicole. Thank you guys. I would definitely recommend this dealership and would not think twice about making another purchase here. More

Nice Shopping Experience I just bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra from Winnipeg Kia and the entire team were awesome! Earlier in May I bought a 2011 Honda CRV from them also. Dishonest Maintenence Service Department I recently purchased a brand new Kia at this dealership. I am following the required maintenance schedule according to the owner’s manual but when I I recently purchased a brand new Kia at this dealership. I am following the required maintenance schedule according to the owner’s manual but when I brought the car to Winnipeg Kia for the required scheduled maintenance I was told that I was wrong to follow the owner’s manual and that I was significantly overdue for servicing. The owner’s manual states that the oil MUST be changed every 12,000 kms or 1 year whichever comes first under normal conditions. Under severe conditions the manual states that it is RECOMMENDED that the oil be changed every 6,000 kms or 6 months whichever comes first but it is not mandatory. I informed them that my car is only used on the highway to commute between Winnipeg and Kenora from April until September which is considered normal conditions therefore the oil change should performed at 12,000 kms or 1 year. I was told in a threatening, belittling, and condescending manner that the oil must be changed at 4,000 kms or 4 months whichever comes first or my warranty could be affected. I was then presented with an unprofessional photocopy of a maintenance service schedule that the dealership themselves had printed up with incorrect mileage and time intervals to apparently intimidate every car owner who brings a car in for service. This is an outright blatant and dishonest way of selling more services that are absolutely not required. The maintenance schedule and intervals are found in my owner’s manual and the same exact information is also stated on the national Kia Canada website. Out of principal I phoned Kia Canada and spoke with several people over the course of 5 days informing them that Winnipeg Kia had a standard policy in place that was ongoing and cheating every customer who was not knowledgeable enough about the correct maintenance intervals. I offered to send them a copy of the so called correct maintenance schedule that I was presented at the dealership but I was told that they can’t accept printed material from a customer as proof and that an inspector must actually see any wrongdoing in person at the dealership itself. I was told that even if Winnipeg Kia was perpetuating this fraud Kia Canada has no control over each dealer’s business practices because each one is independently owned and operated and they can do as they wish. In addition Kia Canada contacted Winnipeg Kia and asked the service manager if indeed this practice is ongoing at the dealership. The service manager told Kia Canada that he is totally unaware of this policy including the 4,000 kms oil change interval and that the printed schedule in question does not exist at his dealership even though I have a copy and there are hundreds of copies on the service advisor’s counter. This is an outright lie because I had requested to speak with this person when I was having my car serviced therefore he knows all about the issue concerned. It is his own policy therefore he obviously knows about it. This dishonest policy not only changes the recommended Kia factory oil change intervals, it also changes various other routine maintenance procedure intervals listed on Winnipeg Kia's maintenance sheet. My complaint has nothing to do with the cost of servicing my car because I take care of all of my vehicles and pay the necessary costs to maintain them. It does have something to do with being treated like a fool by this dealership. It does have something to do with the outright lying and dishonesty at this dealership. It does have something to do with all of the customers that are unknowingly being ripped off by this dealership. I have owned many Kia and Hyundai vehicles since 1988 (Hyundai owns Kia). Out of principal I will never return to any Kia or Hyundai dealership for any servicing on my new car and I will never purchase another Kia or Hyundai vehicle. Shame on Kia Canada for allowing this despicable activity to perpetuate. I warn all customers of Korean built cars to beware! More
