This was our first time at a dealership, and we were so pleasantly surprised with our service. Eric was such a big help from helping us choose a car and letting us test drive it. His friendly attitude was pleasantly surprised with our service. Eric was such a big help from helping us choose a car and letting us test drive it. His friendly attitude was very comforting and honestly don’t think we could have bought from a better person. 10/10 experience thank you Eric. More
I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Winnipeg Hyundai under General Manager Ralph Wasserberg. I was sold a vehicle that Ralph himself later admitted should never have bee vehicle from Winnipeg Hyundai under General Manager Ralph Wasserberg. I was sold a vehicle that Ralph himself later admitted should never have been sold to me due to the condition and value of the vehicle. Instead of properly correcting the situation by buying back the loan and restarting the process fairly, the dealership attempted to roll the negative equity back onto me, even though that negative equity was created through a deal that should not have happened in the first place. After acknowledging the issues, I was told they would help me into another vehicle. During that process, their finance department ran my credit 6 separate times. I was told I could only qualify for a 2024 or newer vehicle, and the first vehicles suggested to me had over 100km on them. When I finally found a vehicle that met their requirements, the dealership delayed submitting the application for over a week, only for me to later be told I was denied and that “there’s nothing more they can do.” This entire process has dragged on for over a month with little accountability, poor communication, and no proper resolution. Instead of taking responsibility for a vehicle sale their own manager admitted was wrong, the burden has continuously been pushed back onto me. I expected professionalism and accountability from management. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. More

My fiancée had an extremely negative and stressful experience with Winnipeg Hyundai / VGO Auto Financing. They completely took advantage of a mother simply trying to upgrade her vehicle for her fam experience with Winnipeg Hyundai / VGO Auto Financing. They completely took advantage of a mother simply trying to upgrade her vehicle for her family. Buying a new vehicle should be an exciting experience, but instead they turned it into one of the worst experiences we have ever dealt with. As part of the deal, the salesperson was supposed to include her remaining loan balance into the new financing, but failed to confirm the correct amount before moving forward, leaving a $1,500 shortfall. She was then told her previous vehicle would be traded in and that she would have to pay $1,500 just to keep her own vehicle. From the beginning, she made it very clear that she did not want to proceed with the deal and asked for it to be cancelled. Despite repeatedly saying no, she felt pressured into continuing and was told she could “work it off” and make payments. Her concerns were consistently ignored, and on top of all this they forged her signature on the documents. When she questioned the delays, raised concerns about the safety of the vehicle shown to her in pictures, and asked to test drive it, her questions were completely ignored. She was never given the opportunity to see the vehicle in person before purchasing it, which is completely unacceptable. Eventually, the vehicle was simply dropped off on our street with the key left on our porch, without any proper handoff or walkthrough. The condition of the vehicle was unacceptable. She had to wash it herself because it looked like it had been driven down a dirt road. She should have taken pictures, but she was extremely upset at the time. The vehicle had not been cleaned despite being told it would be fully detailed. It smelled like smoke, had a burn hole in the seat, a cracked windshield, a broken sway bar, a hole in the floor, and worn, rusted rims. The tire pressure monitoring system was also missing. She had to fight just to get the windshield and sway bar repaired, and she felt uncomfortable even bringing up the remaining issues. When she raised concerns, she was told she was “complaining” and that the salesperson had “lost money” on the deal. As she continued pushing for a proper resolution, the situation escalated and I was threatened, including references to the Hells Angels. At that point, we both felt intimidated and unsure of what to do. Weeks later, she was still being harassed for the additional $1,500 despite already explaining that she could not afford it. After contacting the dealership directly, she was eventually informed that the salesperson had made a mistake and that the amount would no longer be pursued. However, none of the other serious issues with the vehicle were properly addressed. More recently, during an oil change, she was informed that the bumper was damaged and missing parts. That was the final straw for us. She returned to the dealership and met with the general manager, Ralph Wasserberg, who initially told her she would be getting a different vehicle and that all communication would be documented through text messages. A week later, after her credit was run five separate times, she was told they could not refinance her and that the only option would be to repair the current vehicle. This entire experience was unprofessional, misleading, and at times intimidating. I do not believe this situation was handled appropriately, and I would strongly caution others to be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership and any third-party financing associated with them. A complaint has been filed with the Consumer Protection Office. More
