Fair price from the start We just purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion Energi and had the most unusual experience. Perhaps it was because, the way things worked out, we dealt directly We just purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion Energi and had the most unusual experience. Perhaps it was because, the way things worked out, we dealt directly with a sales manager, but I don't think so. After our test drive, we sat down with the sales manager and he let us see his inventory sheet on the computer that included what he paid for it at auction and the number of days it had been on the lot (at 179 days, I hardly think this was fake info he just presented to make us think we were seeing true information). The vehicle was very well-priced as it had been on the lost for a long time. He then proceeded to run us through some analytics he uses to arrive at an offer for the trade-in. The number he suggested was well within the range that I had been hoping for based on my research. By the time he was done, for only the second time in buying quite a few cars, I saw no need to haggle. My wife and I believed we had been offered a fair price from the start. After the sale, the process was also good. The finance person (Tyler) was very helpful and did not do a hard sell on the extended warranty, etc. Our salesman (John Wickham) made arrangements for pickup, as he couldn't be there when we wanted to come and the person he asked to work with us was also very helpful, even though (I expect) he was not making any money on the deal. Overall, we are very pleased. More
