Beware of Service Dept ! My Odyssey in for first major service July, told "spool valve leaking" and it would cost less to replace since engine was already open, agreed to fix ($529). Then told the drive b service July, told "spool valve leaking" and it would cost less to replace since engine was already open, agreed to fix ($529). Then told the drive belt tensioner & belt needed replacement and the power steering high pressure hose was leaking, about $900. Did not agree to fix. An independant Honda qualified shop & mechanic replaced the drive belt, tensioner did not need replacement, high pressure hose was dry, no leaking/seepage. Suspect "spool valve leaking" claim was bogus/unnecessary-but too late now. Wheaton mechanic either incompetent or fraudulent. Wrote the G.M. Contacted by customer liaison person, wanted me to bring in my van. Did/do not trust their mechanics and requested refund for the $529 spool valve replacement. Told no refund for work done. Hope no one else experiences being told their vehicle requires unnecessary fixing/replacement. Get a 2nd opinion More
Great experience!!! The service intake worker explained me what is the problem with the vehicle and gave me options with the pricing. Very prompt and pleasant person. No gimmicks! In detail: My recent visit to Wheaton Honda was an unpleasant experience. I booked an appointment- the staff member was helpful, booked a time for me, and indicated that they thought my appointment would take about an hour or so. I was unpleasantly surprised to find out upon arrival that the time I had booked seems to have been a not an actual appointment time “time that you will talk with a technician and they will walk around your car, then you get placed in the queue”. I ended up waiting 2.5 hours at Wheaton, as I have no one to pick me up. The appointment was over the lunch hour, and staff “helpfully” suggested where I could buy food- as though everyone is willing and able to just go out and buy lunch given the current economic and health situation. Before I left, I tried to indicate to staff how they’d thrown my day’s plans sideways and left me hungry, but there was no apology and no acknowledgement that I had been inconvenienced at all. I realize and respect that they are working with reduced staff- that’s fine, but Wheaton, at least pretend you care about your customers and warn them of the wait. More

Grossly Incompetent Service Department I had an extensive conversation with an individual who was supposed to be the service manager one week before my appointment April 7, 2020. This was I had an extensive conversation with an individual who was supposed to be the service manager one week before my appointment April 7, 2020. This was to ensure required parts would be in place as my vehicle had to arrive the night before to be properly diagnosed the following morning. I had to rent a hotel room and would have to drive 550 Km to get there so it was important that things were set up before I arrived. Sure enough the day I was to drive South a small voice said call and confirm everything is ready to go. I again asked for the service manager. When he got on the line it was apparent that this was not the same individual I had previously spoken with. I wanted to confirm the details and that the parts would be available as I would be living on the economy in the area and staying overnight in a hotel. Sure enough no parts available "must be ordered out of Calgary 24 -48 hrs" This could have left me in a hotel for 3 days living on the economy. This was warranty work to be done on a 2016 CRV. Massive let down and cost me $115 for the hotel room that won't get used. Thank god I phoned or this could have cost me a fortune being stuck in a hotel in Edmonton. I would have thought considering my vehicle is still covered under warranty and the complications of my situation that maybe the dealership could have tried to have their ducks in a row but that was simply not the case. Lucky I called first as the service department personnel will do nothing to help you no matter what your situation. More
