Pfaff VW service is as bad as it comes I have a 93 Corrado and purchased a 2013 GTI from Pfaff VW this past December. On 3 separate occasions I've had service that can only be described as incompetence. The first was a simple swap of winter tires for summers on the GTI. They neglected to give me back the tool to remove the specialty VW lug nuts. Luckily I discovered this when ai went to put the winters back on, and not because of a flat that I couldn't change. The second was my Corrado. Spent $5k on service (exhaust, coolant hose, power mirrors, etc) and got the car back with a loose door handle, 2 inch scratch on the bumper, mangled back leather seat (no idea how, they did no service to the back seat), missing rubber stopper to the back hatch, the plastic keyhole plate cover hanging loosely, and my door plugs sitting on the driver side seat. The Service Manager (Michael Schmidt) didn't even call me, and when I escalated, he suggested that my car had been broken into and that it should be an insurance issue, but that he had no problem fixing it for me. So $5K and 2 months later, I've got a car with a repainted bumper and not even an apology. Brought the GTI in for it's 30K service and the scratched the driver side door down to the paint. Once again Michael said he had "no problem fixing it for me" and would get back to me when the body shop could get me in. A month later I had to follow up. I think that the worse part about it is that they just don't care. Am in the process of escalating to VW Canada. More
unethical business practices Took my 2012 VW Jetta in for service and they had it for an hour. I was charged for 6 hours of labour even though they only had the car for a hour. They told me that the book time on the job is six hours but their mechanics were just very good and proficient. To me this is just unethical to charge for six hours of labour when it only takes one. I won't be back. More
Service was good, but price for 64k service on golf much higher than other vw dealerships in gta. They will negotiate a discount if you ask. If you go with somebody else, the sales agent will leave the room and eavesdrop on you via the desk phone. Leave the room if you need to talk. Or feed the agent fake info via the phone. The mic light will be on. Prices are higher than APA even after negotiation and they tack on the regular "charges" to make extra profit. Would skip this dealer if you are looking for lower price. I feel that I have been treated with the highest quality, professionalism and courtesy. I was in the market for a newer car and I found here! I feel that the staff have given me a great overview of the selections on the lot, explained all necessary information to me and provided a stress/hassle free environment. I felt that my needs were addressed. I feel I have gotten a great deal on my new car and trade. In the future my first stop will Pfaff VW and specifically with Shehan and Michelle. Now I see why so many individuals have recommended Pffaf VW as great place to start. Thank you. More
The first thing I look for a buying a car is a salesperson who listens first. Shehan was execllent. He knew his product. He accommodated our needs in trying out the car. I had been looking for a new vehicle for several months now. I tried emailing different dealerships with no reponse back. I tried through our local dealerships, but the sales people there seemed not all now. I tried emailing different dealerships with no reponse back. I tried through our local dealerships, but the sales people there seemed not all that interested in finding what I wanted. I looked on Autotrader to see what I could find myself. When I saw that Pfaff had the vehicle I had been looking for I emailed them right a way for a price quote. It was 8pm when I emailed them. What impressed me was that a few minutes later Shehan called as he just received the email and even though it was after closing he took the time to call me. After several emails with pricing quotes back and forth I made the decision I wanted to purchase the 2010 VW Touareg TDI. Shehan made the transition of paper work so easy since we are 7hrs away. Any of our questions were responded to promptly. When I decided to purchase the vehicle the paper works was faxed or emailed to me right away and was processed quickly. Within a week and a half I had my new truck!!! I would definitely recommend Shehan and Pfaff Volkswagen to all my friends. I have already told many people what exceptional service I received. When I do decide to get a new vehicle I certainly would not hesitate to contact Shehan again to help me out. More
