Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service I recently took my car to this dealership to diagnose an issue with the infotainment system, which wasn’t loading due to a software problem. After a quick diagnosis, they recommended replacing the entire system at an outrageous cost of over $7,000! The pricing felt completely unreasonable for what seemed like a software-related issue, so we decided not to proceed with the repair. To make matters worse, the next day we noticed the airbag warning light was on, along with an “airbag error” message—issues that were not present before we brought the car to the dealership. It’s clear something happened while the car was in their care. When we called to report this, they insisted we return and pay another diagnostic fee just to have it looked at. I escalated the issue to the manager, who was unhelpful and dismissive, stating that since we didn’t notice the problem immediately upon picking up the car, it wasn’t their responsibility. This experience was incredibly frustrating. The dealership not only failed to provide a reasonable solution for the initial issue but also returned the car with a new problem and refused to take accountability. Their lack of transparency, exorbitant pricing, and poor customer service make me strongly recommend avoiding this dealership. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. But Nadine and the team at Chatham Volkswagen went out of their way to make the process as painless as possible. They sent videos of the vehicle. texts, phone calls and emails. All the paper work was done ahead of time over the phone and through email. They answered every question I had. So when I arrived I went out for a drive to make sure the vehicle was everything I wanted and I was then pretty much on my way home again in about a 1/2 an hour. It was a very good experience. More
