Buying a car ar Victoria Hyundai After 285000km on our Ford Focus my wife and I decided it was time for something new. We liked the Ford but a new Focus was too expensive. My Brother had owned a Hyundai Sonata and he spoke highly of it, and we liked the look of the Elantra, its features and its price point. We went to Victoria Hyundai and were met by Tristan who helped us decide if the car was right for us. We liked the car and struck a deal with Indy and did the financials with Jared. I'm writing this review so anyone interested in buying a new vehicle can set up an appointment with these gentlemen instead of just getting lucky like us. In all, it was a pleasant experience start to finish. We were very comfortable throughout the process and felt the guys had our interests at heart and they listened to our choices. We would certainly go back for our next vehicle. More

My brother-in-law, a previous customer of Victoria Hyundai, brought us in to have a look at the Santa Fe Sport. At that time we were not thinking of purchasing a brand new vehicle. Our brother-in-law introduced us to Andrew Hubbard, the vehicle specialist. Right from the start we were refreshingly happy with the service we received from Andrew. He spent a lot of time with us showing us the features & benefits of the Santa Fe Sport Turbo. Andrew was very knowledgeable & professional at all times. Although my husband & I thought we came to Victoria to purchase a used vehicle from another dealership, we were so impressed with the Santa Fe Sport Turbo without even driving it yet, that we decided to step back & think about our decision. We didn't have time that day to test drive the Santa Fe. I have to say it was refreshing to not be pressured by Andrew or any other staff to make a purchase that day. We told Andrew we were planning a trip back to Victoria in 6 weeks & we would come back then for a test drive. Over the next couple of months Andrew contacted my husband via email to let us know about sales deals & touch base with where we were at on our journey to find a new vehicle. We let Andrew know when we were coming back to Victoria & made a specific trip to seriously consider purchasing. At that time we met Indy Brar. Indy was also friendly, professional & helpful. Of course the test drive went very well.....loved the Santa Fe Sport. We were very happy with the dealer invoice pricing & our trade in. Over all we love our new Santa Fe Sport Turbo! Over above and Beyond It started with Andrew.. personable, honest, caring and 110% there! Thank you. Then to finding a vehicle and financial compatibility/making the deal.. It started with Andrew.. personable, honest, caring and 110% there! Thank you. Then to finding a vehicle and financial compatibility/making the deal...Indy(loves chocolate, warm and friendly and a great smile)... then Jared (contracts/financing and has all the answers). My first car 2011 Hyundai Accent.. well didn't work out too well, had issues, but to give the car credit... it kept going when it wanted to die, and got me from Sidney to downtown Victoria. Andrew was there for me within a 1/2 hour of a phone call with a loaner. Next came a new car, but over my comfort level financially. Hyundai stepped up and Jamie worked endlessly, patiently, always with a smile and good humour, with Andrew right there to be supportive and give a hug :), to find me the right vehicle. My son's fiancé had just purchased a Sonata, which they both love, also worked with Indy. I didn't know this til Mother's day. So he helped me and convinced me to go Sonata. Jamie made it work financially, Jared did the paperwork, Andrew was there the whole time and got the car ready. I really wanted the Elantra, and should've stuck with that decision. The Sonata is a great, luxurious car and the price is right, just too big of a car for my comfort zone. The Elantra is perfect and I highly recommend both, if you want something sporty go for the Elantra GT, it's like a higher end Accent and much nicer car. In summary, no other dealership (and I've been to a few) will work as hard, be as supportive of their clients, during the search or after the purchase), or stand behind their clients and go over and above the extra mile. Definitely in good hands with Hyundai and I recommend my team ... Andrew, Indy/Jamie and Jared. 5Stars from me. Trish More

He was friendly, informative and accommodating over the telephone (I had called before coming to view) and, once my wife and I had arrived in the evening to look at the vehicle we found that his friendly demeanor felt as though it was based on a genuine interest in assisting us. We had called ahead to say that we were coming so a vehicle matching our interest was ready so clearly he listened to what we wanted. The walk-around and test drive we informative but informal, and the discussions afterward felt easy and genuine. We ended up purchasing a new Tuscon and both my wife and I agree that our overall experience with Tristan was that we were told about a vehicle, not sold one. We really apprecaited his listening skills and his attention to the details that were important to us. More

My experience with Jody from the beginning was not a stereotypical car sales experience. He was very friendly, and not pushy with a sale. He took the time to make other suggestions that would meet the specifics I was looking for in a vehicle. What really stood out to me was that Jody spent more time with me during this experience than I would expect of a car sales person. Further, he has taken the time after my purchase to assist me further. Jody did change my perspective of buying from a dealership and in particular, what an experience with a car sales person can be. I would return in the future to purchase another vehicle through him, and would highly recommend Jody to others looking to purchase a vehicle. Thanks for making such a big purchase a good experience. G.D.Reeves Earlier in the week, my husband had test-driven a vehicle at a competitor's lot. Then he had driven by your lot and stopped to look at a vehicle. The day we purchased the car, we started out at the competitor's lot, where the same salesperson who had previously waited on my husband approached us. He didn't remember Greg or that he had test driven anything. They seemed disinterested in our business, telling us that there were things wrong with our vehicle that we knew were untrue. They were aloof, and did not discuss any possible situations of purchasing a vehicle there. We left feeling somewhat insulted, but not sure why. In contrast, your customer service was excellent! Not one but two people recognized Greg from his previous visit and asked about our trade in vehicle. On the way home, I wanted to stop by the other place and show them our new car! People need to feel welcome, accepted, and that their needs will be met as much as possible. Your staff exemplified this with us. It was relaxed, with no pressure. The only change I would make would be to shorten the purchase procedure if possible. Rumon is a very personable young man, and a pleasure to do business with.
