Terrible Service Got a recall letter in early November on truck doors randomly opening and freezing and that the recall was deemed a safety and potentially dangerous i Got a recall letter in early November on truck doors randomly opening and freezing and that the recall was deemed a safety and potentially dangerous issue to the clients that drive F-150 trucks. Went threw the protocole steps set fourth by Ford, after the fixes did not correct my issue Ford Engineers decided to replace all Four of my door latches. This is we’re my story begins for potential buyers as they should be very weary of buying there vehicles from Urban Ford in Arnprior. Your sales experience should be very good as was mine, but my service experience progressively got not so good to very bad on how they treat customers and speak to them, not to mention there lack of empathy on a recall that clearly stipulated that the doors opening and freezing was unsafe and potentially dangerous. After dealing with this issue for a month and half and having to remote start my truck to warm up enough to open my frozen doors that would not unlock. I was at my wits end and then I get told that they only have Three out of the Four latches for my truck. In the past I have had to wait for service as they had no loaner and there garage was booked, no surprise this time around no loaner and the garage is booked. In my last conversation with there service manager he let out that he was doing winter tire changes and wheel bearings and that he only had two technicians on staff. I told him that my situation was deemed unsafe and potentially dangerous as opposed to a winter tire change. I had emailed him if at least I could get my Two front doors done before our trip that went unanswered. In frustration I emailed the owner and got an apology and he passed my email to his service manager. In a justified frustration a word that I used about there service rep was responsible for drawing “First Blood not me” this was deemed that I was a threat to the well being of his staff and I am assuming that there was to be no effort done on making my truck safe for our trip out of town. I contacted Ford Customer Care and explained what I have been going threw with Urban Ford and they were more then apologetic they asked to put me on hold so I agreed. After being on hold they managed to find a dealer in Ottawa and explained to them what I was going threw. They then asked for my contact information and within 5 minutes I was speaking to a Ford dealership service manager who had taken the time to call me. He explained that it was New Years Eve and that he was short staff but if I could bring my truck in right away he would make time to make my truck safe for our trip. Now that is excellent customer service in my books Urban Ford. I urge anybody who is thinking of buying a vehicle threw Urban Ford to source out a better dealership that cares and takes a serious concern on recalls that are deemed unsafe and potentially dangerous to the owner of the vehicle. Urban Ford clearly chooses the side of there staff as opposed to the client that was impacted when there is a situation that arises. You should also know that the staff turnover in the service department is high that alone should be another alarm bell to not do business with this terrible dealership. More
