I bought a 2020 Kia Sorento in July and ordered the winter tire package for $ 1100 plus tax. I asked what kind of tires they would be and was told they would be a brand name but couldn't tell me what b winter tire package for $ 1100 plus tax. I asked what kind of tires they would be and was told they would be a brand name but couldn't tell me what brand because they would be buying them in bulk when fall comes around . I made an appointment and had them installed this week .the the tires were Eternity brand which I had never heard of ( its a Chinese tire that Michelin has a 40% interest in) none the less tires and rims in that brand can be purchased for about $800 for my vehicle from a small garage . to add insult to injury the bill I received was $49 for past storage and an additional $ 39 to put them on the vehicle . After complaining they waived the charges but now I'm skeptical to deal with the service department at KIa .I bought the tires (I was told installed and balanced) and they wanted me to pay $39 to put them on the car and $49 for storage on tires they received in the last month that I never took possession of., Im not impressed being I had previously heard how great and fair uptown Kia s service was. Recalls and money Grabs I've had my car for just about 3 years now (2012 optima) and there's already been 3 recalls. I had to get my engine starter replaced and they said the I've had my car for just about 3 years now (2012 optima) and there's already been 3 recalls. I had to get my engine starter replaced and they said they could do it for ~$850. I looked around town and got it down for $350!!! look out and be careful folks. Do some shopping around. If you go in for a recall don't buy anything else unless you need it. What I will say that's good about these guys tho, is that they don't push things in your face to be bought. More

recall kia optima my wife recently received a letter from kia stating that there is a recall on her optima ( engine needed to be examined) so she gave them a call and a my wife recently received a letter from kia stating that there is a recall on her optima ( engine needed to be examined) so she gave them a call and arranged a time and day for the inspection! she arrived at up town KIA of cornwall on the 21st july and sat in there waiting room while they did the inspection! hour later they explained that the car was ok and they gave the car a oil change with out asking us first! they had just removed brand new synthetic oil and filter and replaced with cheaper oil and filter! she was not amused ! the guy in charge of servicing showed total lack of respect and all he said he was doing what he is told to do! they had no right what so ever to disregard are new oil with out asking us first! they didn't even offer to replace the synthetic oil ! when she got home she noticed that the number face plates had been replaced with uptown advertising all over them! with out her consent! we didn't buy the car of uptown kia! we have brought 3 kia s over the years and payed cash! after the way we were treated we will never buy another KIA again! disgusted!
