Went in for my check engine light as I just bought the car (Toyota Camry 2002) and I need to pass my emission test… Mentioned to the lady that I don’t want to spend too much on it as I could get a condi car (Toyota Camry 2002) and I need to pass my emission test… Mentioned to the lady that I don’t want to spend too much on it as I could get a conditional pass, as long as I proof that it cost too much to be fixed, and it seems that we had a mutual understanding. After 3:30 hours of diagnostic time and 280$ of labour, I end up with the same problem and nothing done to the car and estimate of 1100 for a computer board that needs to be replaced which I didn’t go for. Went to get my conditional pass for my etest only to be surprised that Toyota upper James are not accredited etest service and all that labour and diagnostic has to be done and paid for again by a credited etest service centre, yet the lady never mentioned that point and there’s no way I could’ve known that. Bravo for losing another customer of yours, and way to go upper James Toyota. More
