Taylor was able to advise me on what service needed to be done and what could wait until the fall. She was friendly and professional from start to finish, and the mechanic was thorough in their checkup on my 2013 Rav. More

My only complaint would be the cost, from the marked up parts to expensive labour. I realize this is typical for work done by a dealership, but it is still an obstacle to having more work done here. First time car buyers be careful Definitely a disappointing first car buying experience, ended up spending a lot more then planned and car was due for oil change fast, no windshield w Definitely a disappointing first car buying experience, ended up spending a lot more then planned and car was due for oil change fast, no windshield wiper fluid, didn't honour a 30 day opt out period, kept my 500$ For a insurance that wasn't mandatory and clearly stated an opt out period? Bad experience overall. I went into truro Toyota after a friend had sent an add posted by Matt Shipley for a used car for a reasonable price. I went in and after taking it for a test drive I decided I wanted to buy it. All I wanted was the car with no extra fees or warrantys, apparently I didn't state that good enough. I put a deposit on the car thinking that's what I was getting. 6000 plus tax so about 7000 or little more is what I was expecting to pay. Look, I understand that it is also my responsibility to tell them no when I do not want something, but I didn't realize what it all was, and they way they added them in was without my asking, and added them on and then told me what my new payment was when the time actually came to sign to buy the car, it was the first time I had heard of any of them. Neither the finance manager or Matt told me about them to this point, I understand that I made a mistake in signing for Things I didn't want, but it isn't my job to provide me with the proper information and give me enough time to talk it over with someone else if I want/need too and think about it for even a minute without getting asked to sign, and provide me with a good comfortable customer experience that isn't pushy and sketchy. My loan is total 10,600.. on a 6000 dollar car? I'm no numbers guy but that doesn't make any sense. Obviously a lot of extra fees and warranty, I once again understand I screwed up to. But understand that when I realized I signed these I didn't think it was a huge deal because it clearly states there's a 30 day opt out period, the problem with this is that they had no interest in honouring that. After finding out I had screwed up singing for things I didn't want I called back the night I bought the car and left a message saying I would like to opt out and I'll be in the next day. One of the things they added I had no problem returning because truro Toyota didn't have a part in it, but everything they did they would not return, even with a 30 day opt out period and nothing stating the descison is final at the time of the purchase. I was there within the proper timeline and they refused to return me my money. Darelene and Matt Shipley both stood in front of me and I made them very clearly repeat to me that it is in fact MANDATORY to purchase all of the added things with the car and that they come with them all and there is no way to get a used car from them without it. They lied to my face, the used car manager had no problem admitting to me that all it would have taken is for me to say I don't want them at the time of signing. On top Of all of these things, my oil wasn't change before I got my car and windshield wiper fluid was empty, I've had the car for about 2 months. I know it's a used car, but have some standards set. Truro Toyota nearly costed me 2500$ and still owe me money in my eyes. I understand I was naive to sign without taking my time with it but I'm also not sure how what they did is legal what so ever, not honouring a contract and dening me my opt out and money when I was there in proper time, was not only sleazy but should be illegal if it's not. I hope that anyone who is a future buyer to just be very careful and make sure you try to avoid dealing with Matt or Darlene as they will literally lie to your face as I found out the hard way I left there thinking it was so easy and such a good experience, and I also thought like I said, that it wouldn't be a big deal and that I could just get my money back. Even until the end of them screwing me around I was more then polite to them telling them I know it's just there jobs(too nice), and that I just wanted my money back. Hopefully no one else has had this experience and no one will again. I'm not saying everyone's experience has been like this and hope that it hasn't, but mine was far far from extraordinary, and thought people should know about it since they had no problem taking some extra money from someone who simply didn't know what they were doing, and tried to fix it. The best service and experience than all other dealerships I just bought my 2016 highlander limited. I was ready to give up my search of finding a vehicle on my own without my husband by my side I had been lo I just bought my 2016 highlander limited. I was ready to give up my search of finding a vehicle on my own without my husband by my side I had been looking for the right vehicle for over a month. Living in Halifax I thought it would be easy as I narrowed it down to 2 vehicles and O'Regan's had them both. I was wrong. At both dealerships in Halifax and Dartmouth they were extremely rude to me I phoned my husband feeling defeated and he said "You know there are other places besides O'Regans when I hung up the phone I googled and found TRURO TOYOTA and there change happened. They actually took time to speak to me (A WOMAN ') Matthew was wonderful. I told him what I wanted and he found it they gave me an incredible deal as I bought extended warranty. The place in Halifax wouldn't even entertain what I wanted to spend. I may have still purchased there if he didn't sound so condescending. I'm so glad I made the call to Truro Toyota. I went there 2 days later. They had a sold sign on the highlander that we were discussing and was surprised that it was for me. All staff was so warm and didn't treat me like crap the way it was at O'regans. I went to meet with financing and was blown away by Brent (their down to earth finance manager). He made me feel at ease while we waited for financing approval. While waiting temporary plates were made the tank was filled and I was on my way. WOW! I never write reviews but my horrible experience with O'Regan's and the marked difference between the two dealerships compelled to. As a woman, if you want to be treated equally and feel relaxed you should make the trip which was not that far. I will never ever recommend O'Regan's to anyone. Truro Truro Toyota is the place to go if a Toyota is on you list (it should be). I wanted something roomy and safe for my children and was tired of being a minivan mom. Now my kids may let me drop them off at the door when I take them to school 🙄 Thank you to the team at Truro toyota!!! Especially Brent, Matthew and the manager who approved the price!! I will always, without a doubt recommend you over any other dealer. Thank you to the TRURO TOYOTA TEAM. See you again. Carolin More
Great experience at Truro Toyota Just purchased a 2012 Toyota Yaris from Truro Toyota and I have to say,Matt Shipley was an exceptional sales person to deal with. I had been shopping Just purchased a 2012 Toyota Yaris from Truro Toyota and I have to say,Matt Shipley was an exceptional sales person to deal with. I had been shopping for a good used vehicle for a little while now and have had a number or encounters with various other sales people at several different car dealerships. Matt's relaxed,no pressure approach was much appreciated. I got a good car at a good price and I really felt like Matt was working to do just that. I would highly recommend Matt and all the folks I met at Truro Toyota . More
