Problems with E-brake on back passenger side After hearing a squealing noise, that was quite loud coming from my 2004 4 Runner SUV. I immediately headed for the Toyota Dealer on 137th Street. I After hearing a squealing noise, that was quite loud coming from my 2004 4 Runner SUV. I immediately headed for the Toyota Dealer on 137th Street. I arrived 15 mins before closing. James took it for a drive around the parking lot and couldn't hear any noise. He got Doug one of the mechanics to go out on the highway with me. After 5 mins it starting making a noise. He discovered the E brake was not attached properly when we had our brakes done at a place NOT Toyota. Since I needed a vehicle for the next day, James found a loaner after trying 5 places: My vehicle was fixed the next day and they talked to the place who originally did the he brakes 5 weeks ago, who then covered all the expenses for Toyota to make the repair. We will now, only have our service done with Toyota Service. Both James and Doug went out of their way to help me the experience stressfree for me. Thanks so much for all your help, Cindy Brown More
A few glitches, but I brought my Yaris in for an airbag recall. I was aware that the replacement took about 3 hours, so I dropped it off at 7:15AM. TNW was the only deale I brought my Yaris in for an airbag recall. I was aware that the replacement took about 3 hours, so I dropped it off at 7:15AM. TNW was the only dealer that offed a shuttle bus service to Spruce Grove, so that was a major factor in my choice of service shops.. The young lady I talked to was friendly and courteous, but as she left me, she mentioned it was an all-day job. I didn't think anything of it. The shuttle left right on time at 7:30, and I was home bright and early. The driver (Salim) was polite and friendly, and drove carefully, and he gave me his card so I could phone him for pickup when the car was ready. Just before 12:00 noon, I called to check on the progress. I spoke to guy named James, who said he'd talk to the tech and call me back. By 1:00, I still hadn't received a call, so I phoned again. This time I was told that the car wouldn't be ready until between 4:00 and 6:00, and that they would call me when it was ready! Since they closed at 6:00, I became concerned that the driver wouldn't have time to come and get me before then, and that I'd be stuck without a car for the next morning! I phoned Salim right away, and while he had other bookings around 4:30-5:00, he said he could pick me up around 4:00. Sure enough, he was waiting outside right on time. The rest went smoothly. When I got to the dealership, the car was sitting outside, and the rep I'd originally talked to confirmed that the airbag had been replaced. I picked up the keys and left. It tales a bit moreeffort to switch the air vent from external to internal now ('cluuunk') but I assume the car is a bit safer. Individual ratings: First young lady: Good. Maybe could have been a bit clearer about the completion time. James: down a few points. Is it that hard to return a call when you say you will? And while he reassurred me that he'd get the car done, he left it up to me to arrange a pickup with the driver based on the late completion time. Salim: Excellent. A good driver. Proud of his dealership, and a good representative for the company. More
