Who knew a 2015 Jeep Liberty does not come standard with power locks? We didn't. Nor did anyone we have talked to as the common expectation of a modern-day vehicle is this is a standard feature, much like having a heater. But nor did our sales person point this out to us when we walked up to an unlocked vehicle for a test drive. We noticed it had manual windows, and were decidedly OK with that. We were focussed on how the vehicle handled and felt while driving. However, when we returned one week later to pick up our purchased vehicles, and I was hit with the realization that I had to key into it and awkwardly reach over all the seats to unlock three other doors for our family members, I immediately had buyers remorse. With two children aged 10 and 6, it didn't take long for us to see what a real inconvenience this is with remembering to lock the doors, and how difficult it is to unlock them from the inside from their little pull knobs. My children are very capable yet are unable to open these little knobs themselves. This proves to be the largest inconvenience every single time we get in our car. (Grrrrrrr.) Secondly, we bought two vehicles that day in hopes of getting a better deal, which we sort of did, but at our own expense. The 2014 Dodge Dart also lacks a major feature that we are dissatisfied with every time we get in the car on a nice day. We had no idea that of all the buttons and features the dashboard has, this 2014 model does not have air conditioning. When we test drove both cars it was a cold cloudy day, and again, they were unlocked when we approached them. My husband even explicitly said while driving the jeep that both vehicles we buy need to have air conditioning. This would've been the perfect opportunity to point out the Dodge dart doesn't have it. This second major omission of information is only the tip of the iceberg in the high-pressure sales experience they are trained to create when you visit this dealership. Buyer beware! They were so excited to make a two car deal that afternoon, there were times both the sales person and his manager filled our time to think and consider these options, with constant banter and pressured statements like "you know you want these cars." "These are great cars", "lower monthly payment", "just do it, just sign here!" This was pushy and annoying and created so much noise, we regret succumbing and making these purchases under those conditions. But worst of all, we presented them with our problems, (needing lower monthly payments for our family's tight budget) and they presented "solutions" but glazed over the facts that a 2015 vehicle does not have power locks for a young family, and a 2014 vehicle with all other modern features has no air conditioning. These omissions are major for our family and now we are left completely dissatisfied with both vehicles, wishing we just had our previous ones back. But the fact that we presented these concerns to the sales manager and after three weeks are not having our phone calls returned they clearly lack integrity and trustworthiness. If you are OK with this type of high-pressure, leave out critical facts, lack of the concern for your satisfaction, then this is the dealership for you! Oh and also to mention the finance person is equally unresponsive to follow up phone calls. He explicitly told us twice that the paperwork will be done in time for our former vehicles car payment to not come out of our account. But guess what? Two weeks after making the purchase, the car payment for the vehicle we sold them still came out of our account with the new car payments coming out to days later. We called them after one week to inform them of the double payment and were told to give it another week as a credit should automatically come through. Eight days later, the credit has not come through. I left a message for them to call back and have not heard anything. I suppose our business was appreciated and helped them meet their long weekend sales quota, but it all ends there. I genuinely hoped they would redeem themselves in giving them some time to make good somehow but clearly they have moved on to new sales and don't care about your customer experience and satisfaction. Byron was excellent too. Even though one of us was missing some documentation I was able to get it to him later and he was understanding. Only one suggestion. As we were sitting talking it was tough to listen as the music in the showroom was too loud. It was a competition with the radio to speak. I liked what was playing but not appropriate for interacting with the public I feel. If no one is in the showroom trying to buy. Sure turn it up. There were at least 2 other customers in there at the time. More
