Great experience, candid advice, fair negotiation. We arrived on Dec 24, 2016 looking to research a purchase and in the end drove out with the perfect car for our family. Robert Wachter was very helpful and knowledgable. He was forthright, candid and honest. We negotiated price in a fair and reasonable manner. We were not upsold on anything we didn't want. Robert followed up and made himself available during his vacation. The transaction was very straight forward and Robert and the rest of the Tower staff were very accommodating and helpful (particularly given the season). We have not historically walked away from our prior dealer experiences with a feeling that we were treated well but with Tower Chrysler, we felt very good about our experience. We will definitely be bringing our vehicle back for servicing as they have earned our business. Well done Robert and Tower! More

John, being a excellent salesman, put all the pieces together and I ended up with a beautiful brand new Ram sport. John was on my side through the entire process. There was no surprises. He was honest and I felt he did all he could to get the most out of my money. I would highly recommend him. I'm 21 years old, and this was my first brand new truck. Excellent experience overall. Regret ever having walked in here. If I could 0 stars I would. My situation is a complicated one, so bear with me. I made a mistake several years ago and now I have an impaired on my If I could 0 stars I would. My situation is a complicated one, so bear with me. I made a mistake several years ago and now I have an impaired on my driving record. I have been driving a vehicle that I own with liability insurance. (Next year it will come off and I will be able to afford full coverage again) That is, until my family grew to need a van. I’m actually a single mother as well. I went to Tower Chrysler with the intent to trade in my truck and pay in cash the difference for a used van. John Assef was my salesman and we agreed on $4000 cash for the difference. John passed me to Tyler Hnatiuk, a finance manager. Tyler wanted to add on a warranty, winter tire package, and I think some sort of interior protection package. (Mind you, I was scheduled to see him at 1:00 pm, but he was in with someone else. When he finally called me an hour after I left, I didn’t have a lot of time because I had to go pick up my son from school). I explained to him that I was trying to do a cash deal because I couldn’t afford full coverage insurance with my current driving record, and that any lienholder would require full coverage insurance. Tyler was quick to advise me that “the bank doesn’t care if the vehicle is sitting parked with no insurance, as long as they you’re making your payments” or some sort of similar analogy. He said that I “could hold him to that,” to which I responded “Oh I will.” Leaving in a hurry I agreed and signed my life away. (At this point, I am still using the dealer plate, and scheduled to come in for all the add ons) Much to my dismay, my insurance company advised what I believed all along; I could not insure a financed vehicle with my liability coverage. I phoned other insurance companies, and I could not afford what they were asking for full coverage. I phoned the lienholder, the bank, and they said that it is in their contract that the vehicle be fully insured. The bank advised that I call the dealership and see if I could cancel. They said that this deal was made on false promises and that it legally it should not have even happened without yet having insurance to drive away with. I called Tower and they basically said that they would not go back on the deal. They would not even take the initial deal for $4000 cash (they already got paid by the bank, why would they?). Tower pursued several avenues to keep the sale that they had made off me, and get the insurance. They said that they could make a bill of sale in one of my family members’ names in order for me to insure it. They said that if I had anyone (which I don’t) to be added to the financing contract as a co-signer and use them to insure it. They even said to “just not tell the insurance company that there is a lien on the vehicle, there’s no way that they can tell.” Tyler called and said that he had “great news” and that I was approved for a brand new van and $10000 cash back to pay for the insurance. I didn’t want a brand new van. (And does he not need my approval before running an application with my credit again?) I was feeling very pressured and like they would not allow me to leave with my children waiting in the vehicle. Tyler has not admitted any fault on his part. He argues that it’s in the way that the contract reads that “the vehicle must be insured against total loss, theft and fire”, that nowhere does it say that it needs to be fully insured. I felt I had no choice to continue negotiating with Tower. I said if they can get me enough to pay my insurance in the form of a cheque, that they could add it to my contract with the bank. Tyler drew up a contract that stated I was trading the van for $9500, but buying the same van for $20,500. I was to get $8000 cash back. When I asked about it, he said that it was “just the way the numbers worked” to get me the cash back. I told him that I was not comfortable signing this document, because I didn’t understand what it meant, and I left. Today I asked if I could deal with someone else other than Tyler. This was my response: I talked to my manager and they said that they cannot do anything now as the bank will not entertain another loan application because you turned down that application last night so the finance director has tried with two other banks and they have both turned down the applications. I am very sorry we have no options for u. I am now stuck with a vehicle that I can’t drive, the vehicle that I had already gone. I don’t live in the city to take transit. I can’t get my daughter to her appointment tomorrow, or finish my kids’ Christmas shopping. The bank is sending an area representative to discuss this situation with Tower Chrysler, but with the upcoming holidays, it may not be until the new year. I will update. More
