I also called ahead to ask if my car would be Ok if I put some old antifreeze fluid in. Peter was very tolerant, and explained why I don't need that liquid any more. I asked if I could bring a few small bottles in, to dump. He said yes. I was not charged for this small amount, and it leads me to feel appreciated as a longterm customer. I have bought 3 cars at this dealership, and the gentleman I dealt with is now at a different branch, but he was very helpful, incl. re helping me get used to my new cars. This was Tai Liang. More
Terrible Service I scheduled a winter maintenance package last November 15 and decided to buy a wheel cover (hub cap, whatever you want to call it). My scheduled service was 7:30 in the morning and I asked the parts department how much is the set of wheel cover. The guy, I believe Nasser is his name, told me it's $90+ tax without explaining anything. So I said yes thinking that it is the one with Hyundai logo. When I came back around 11 am, the service was done and the car was ready for pick up. I noticed that the hub cap installed was the generic/common one, so I went back to the parts department and told it's not the one I want and expecting the wheel covers are with Hyundai logo. At that time there was another gentleman there and abruptly told me that "Oh those are expensive, its around $150 each". I really snapped and told him I don't care how much it is, they should explain well what they are offering. If I know that it was the generic ones, I would have bought it at Canadian Tire for a lot cheaper price. I felt really discriminated that time, feeling that I can't afford the expensive hub cap that he's telling. And then he told me that if I want those hub caps, they will remove the ones installed and put the other. He's kind a rushing me to make decision that time. This guy really don't know what other people are going thru. I was really in a rush that day that's why I scheduled the service first day in the morning. Then had to go back to hospital for my premature baby and bring lunch to my other kids. Even I want to change the hub caps I can't because I need to attend something. That was the worst service I ever had, they did not even apologize for not explaining what they're offering. With the other departments like the customer service and sales, I don't have any issues . But the guys at the parts department, they should be taught how to deal with their customers better. More

No respect for my time and having to go to work. I bought the car from Hyundai - Please tell me why I have to give you my ownership/details to register with you????? Left the car and picked it up with a MAXIMUM 1 km difference on the clock, at best - I have the pictures to prove this, yet the car "was driven by 2 technicians" I may have been born at night, just not last night. Booked Vehicle in for the sluggish issue and 1st oil change no oil change occurred. NEVER EVER again. Not the first time I have had a bad experience with this dealer, but it sure is the last!! More

Very Pleasant Experience Although I am fortunate enough to have an excellent mechanic and car dealer, I received a recall notice from Hyundai Canada regarding my 2008 Hyundai Although I am fortunate enough to have an excellent mechanic and car dealer, I received a recall notice from Hyundai Canada regarding my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe requiring me to visit a Hyundai dealer. This time, I decided to let "dealerrater.ca" assist me in my selection of a "good" Hyundai dealership. I chose Toronto Hyundai. I was very impressed with their friendly attitude after making my initial appointment. I attended the dealership recently early in the morning after an ice storm and on account that I was an outsider requesting recall work, I did not expect much. Wow, what a surprise! After spending a few very comfortable hours at this dealership, I was amazed regarding ALL of the staff's motivated, caring and friendly attitude. From the minute I entered the dealership, I was treated very respectfully. No one tried to up sell me any service or new vehicle and I had a low pressure experience. My appointment time was honoured and all work was completed on time as discussed. Although I dealt mainly with Service Advisor Samantha Henry, a true "5 star" employee from my initial call to the dealership and who welcomed me during my actual visit, another "star" employee emerged...Service Advisor Peter Luis. He went the extra mile to assist a stranded client whose roadside assistance plan had expired. My 30 plus km trip to Toronto Hyundai was well worth it ! Thanks again, "dealerrater.ca" and especially to all of YOU who take the time to post your experiences regarding your car dealership experiences. By the way, if any reader wishes to read a long, very detailed story regarding a really bad Hyundai dealership, please read my review of Kingscross Motor Sports.
