I wish I could give negative stars. The absolute worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. Shady hidden costs when you go to sign, zero communication during the buying process and th The absolute worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. Shady hidden costs when you go to sign, zero communication during the buying process and then the engine light comes on driving the car home. No AC, leaking oil all over the driveway and the engine light on THE DAY WE BUY THE CAR. After calling repeatedly (and being assured they would take care of it but no follow through), the owner tells us to take the car to his shop that he conveniently owns. They have the car for over a week (while we rent a car at our own cost so I can actually get to work). Told It’s supposed to be ready on Wednesday… no communication. Finally on Friday we call and are told that it’s done. We ask for copies of the work orders and no response. We insist they deliver for all this hassle. We come home to discover the car leaking oil all over the driveway and the ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. Oh, and no AC. Now our options are to pay to fix this lemon or return it to them for another piece of crap car with an inflated price. We just wanted a reliable, decently priced car for work and to drive our kids around. The owner hung up on me when I asked him for a resolution (he says I was aggressive but I absolutely was not) and now no one working for the company will respond or help us out. They still haven't provided any details or work orders for the work done over the week they had the car (also stay away from Speedy in the west end). Absolute garbage, scam company full of garbage, scam cars. Read the Google reviews- it happens over and over. Their ads say “best price!”- well I guess you can sell them for cheap when the ENGINES ARE BLOWN. More

Buyer beware this dealership is very focused on making money not on building relationships with customers. My experience with this company was far from desirable they had a 2007 picker listed for sale I had my nephew stop in and have a look at it for me ,he found the truck could potentially work for our up coming project , he told the sales girl he was dealing with, that it looked good and asked if it would be ok if i stopped by next day to have a look and potentially buy ,from that point on the Sales manager ,John took over the deal and told Jonathan my nephew, that another couple was coming back that night to buy , so if he wanted to stop that deal to put a non refundable deposit of $500.00 down at that would stop that deal. We put the deposit down, and I went there by 1:00pm the next day to inspect the truck on arriving I was greeted by Sales Woman Hannah which I would like to say she was very polite and knowledgeable and forthcoming, we started the truck and went for a test drive in the inspection process I found some potential problems mainly on the engine after finding issues, I asked Hannah if I could take the truck to a third party to have inspected at my cost she asked the owner and he said no, I asked to speak to him she took me to him and in our discussion he told me he does not allow customers to there vehicles off site for third party inspection, in our conversation I explained that the way the engine started there could be engine problems and I needed specific test done he stated only speedy Auto service could do the inspection at his cost. I said yes and I would like to speak to the mechanic directly. I stated if the picker truck checks out i will buy it. The next day Hannah called me said the truck was booked in for the following Monday and asked if that was a problem i said no my project does not stat till May 9. That afternoon I received a call from the Sales manager John Russell and he informed that there will be no inspection performed and that if i wanted the truck i could buy as is were is or he would give my money back. I told I didn't want my money back I wanted the few potential issues inspected and if check I would buy and that I was willing to have my mechanic come inspect on there site the next day. He phoned me back and said talked to the owner and he said no to inspection. In all my years off buying equipment I have never came across dealership that was apposed to a third party inspection, so after that phone call I was left with the feeling there is a conflict of interest between Cars Near Cost and Speedy Auto Service. When look on Cars Near Cost webpage Speedy Auto Service is on there as well I do not believe this dealership is dealing in good faith and are not selling the truth .I thought I would share my experience to hopefully save somebody the hardship and miss fortune of buying a unreliable vehicle. Bought a car from this dealership paid in full. I drove off the lot stayed at a motel car was not gassed up as they said nor did it start in the morning. Then 1 week later was going to trade this car in at a different dealership and they wouldn't take it cause of 2 leins on the vehicle then my blood pressure rose and I had a headache for a whole week. I tried to get dealership to take off the leins as I had just driven 9 hrs for trade in but they refused to answer my calls or emails, so I drove to Cars Near Cost again but they weren't gonna do anything for me accept that they figured the leins were removed, which they weren't this is THE WORST DEALERSHIP EVER , JUST BELIEVE ME! More

I bought my car from The Cars Near Cost Company about 7 months ago. I dealt with Colin and he was awesome. I felt very comfortable upon entering the dealership ( no pressure ).
