Ignored Was in this dealership yesterday for about 10 minutes. I was looking at buying a $50,000 vehicle ready to buy, but was completely ignored. People just walked by me with no acknowledgement whatsoever. Needless to say, I walked out. I've gone to Forbes Chevy many times and have had waaaaay better customer service. Worst service ever was ignored when I got there. 3 ladies took multiple calls and had personal conversations without helping me. Then another customer comes in after 5 m was ignored when I got there. 3 ladies took multiple calls and had personal conversations without helping me. Then another customer comes in after 5 minutes of me standing there and they help him immediately. I went home and called to file a complaint and John scherer himself hung up on me twice!!! No one should ever go to this place! More
terrible service I had booked my 2009 Chevrolet truck in 3 times and left it with them all day for a oil change and when I went to pick it up after work I still had t I had booked my 2009 Chevrolet truck in 3 times and left it with them all day for a oil change and when I went to pick it up after work I still had to wait. I had booked my truck in for a fluid change-rear diff. trans. and oil and had new trans cooler lines installed from the trans cooler kit that I bought from the same dealer, I had removed the grille and installed the trans. cooler myself so all they had to do was connect the lines. The kit was short 1 line boxed wrong but parts department said no. the tech should have replaced 1 original long line from the trans to cooler and 1 short line from the trans cooler to the rad he installed both long lines and then said he was short 1 line, so the kit was boxed wrong. luckily they had the short line in stock that I had to buy extra, so the tech should have noticed that. I don't think the tech had ever installed won before., when he went to fill the trans. he noticed the filler tube was broke, the manager said there was a recall and he would check, then he said no recall on my truck. but the same tube brakes on the 2008 he said I broke it when I replaced the exhaust manifolds with short headers that are at least 15" away and at the back of the motor not the side. the time should pay .7 to change lines .5 to pull the plug and change trans fluid that they would have to drain anyway because I asked for a fluid change. and the mysterious broken filler tube should pay 1.5 and they charged me 4.5 hrs just for the trans service total bill over $800 for a diff, fluid change that should pay .5 a trans service and 2 lines changed with a free 3rd oil change as advertised and a whaping 10% discount on the trans service. Once again I booked my truck in and was the first at the door in the morning, got a ride to work and picked up at 4:30 and once again it was not done. maybe if they would have brought it in first thing in the morning they could have called me to let me know about this broken filler tube and got won from another dealer. so they had to get me a rental car . I have had my services done here because of the convenience and there 3rd free oil change as advertised. I normally do my own service but there oil change offer is cheaper then I can do it for, I was leaving on holidays and was pressed for time. the flat rate times I had checked out from another GM dealer where reasonable so I thought they should be the same, but I was wrong. The end result is that I paid my bill and will never bring my truck to this dealer again , when someone in a round about way accuses me of braking something I didn't brake and tells GM of Canada that I did, does not sit well with me free 3rd oil change or not. I have been in the auto trade for some 40plus years 15plus years for a GM dealer. and almost 30 years at different brand of dealership. I have read good reviews from Forbes its a little farther away but maybe worth it. More
Terrible service I have had a terrible experience with this dealership. Firstly , I called ahead of time to ask if they had stock of a car with the specific specs I wa I have had a terrible experience with this dealership. Firstly , I called ahead of time to ask if they had stock of a car with the specific specs I was looking for. Matt Manera, who was my salesperson, told me it was in stock in Ontario and that they could get it delivered. I was surprised because other dealerships told me that the exact same car was actually unavailable anywhere in Canada. I went into Scherer Chevy to pay for my car that was to be delivered. We processed all the paperwork and I placed my down payment. The next day I was called by Matt and informed that the exact car I was looking for was actually not available (as the other dealerships had told me). So I had to change the specs of the car that I had originally wanted to meet the criteria of the vehicles actually available. It was a greasy sales tactic to get me into the door and place a downpayment on a car that didn't exist. Secondly , when I went to have the tires on my vehicle rotated ( at another Chevy dealership) They informed me that the key for the nuts on the rims was not in my car. I called Scherer to have them give me a part that was supposed to have come with my vehicle. They told me that because it was so long ago that I had purchased the car there tha they would not provide me with the missing part. They offered to take off the current locks and for me to buy a new lock kit. They did not offer to pay , or offer any type of apology or service to compensate for their mistake. The response was that the lock kit ONLY costs 40$. Not sure why I am the one who has to pay to fix their mistake. Bottom line , they put zero effort into helping me or making the customer happy. Don't go here. More

Brought my BMW in for a second opinion on Alignment issue and they were able to fit me in while they were busy and had a knowledgable mechanic who knows a lot about other brands and fixed my car at substanti and they were able to fit me in while they were busy and had a knowledgable mechanic who knows a lot about other brands and fixed my car at substantialy less than the local BMW dealer. Highly recommend Scherers service dept along with thier pre owned dept where I have had family deal with in the past and were very happy with the service Provided by the staff. More
When I returned to pick up my 2012 Chevy Sonic after having its regular service -I walked into the Service Department -I counted 7 people behind the counter -1 man in front of me being served -I waited having its regular service -I walked into the Service Department -I counted 7 people behind the counter -1 man in front of me being served -I waited 10 mins before anyone acknowledged me -and then I was rudely asked if I was waiting for a pick up. I would definitely NOT recommend this Dealer just for the Customer Service provided. More
