She was so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we picked the right car for our daughter. I shopped around to other dealerships but eventually went back to Sheila. Both my wife and I agreed that she wasn't just out to make a sale. Both her and the used car sales manager showed us several cars and even commented on a certain car to stay away from. They both could have sold us the car and that would have been it however they wanted to make sure we has a safe, reliable car for our daughter. It was probably the best sales experience I ever had. Sheila has since followed up twice to ensure we were happy with the purchase and that is something no other dealer has ever done. I highly recommend you visit Sheila and the staff at Steele Mazda I know I will again. Thank you so much Sheila. More

The staff at Steele Mazda was very welcoming, friendly and attended to my needs immediately. Sheila MacAskill was the salesperson I dealt with. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. She was able to answer all my questions and was very helpful in resolving my problem. I was able to drive off in my new Mazda 3GX the next day at noon. I also appreciated being asked if I would prefer the French documentation. Very thoughtful! Thank you very much Sheila for making it a pleasant experience. More

Went and looked at the car on a hoist. There was rubber worn around 1 control arm, 2 lateral arms and a rear trailing arm. Still tight. No steel on steel. Spoke to 2 mechanics who looked at it and said that it should have passed. Booked an MVI at at a national chain. Total bill $32 and change. Well Mazda, we were thinking about buying a new CX5 . Not anymore. I will never darken your doorway again for any reason. Drove Hondas for years, without complaint. Wondering why I left. If I could rate your price in the negatives I would More

Expensive & Poor Workmanship Just a complaint email I wrote to Steele Mazda, I haven't received a reply yet but I thought I would inform the public of my experience. This happene Just a complaint email I wrote to Steele Mazda, I haven't received a reply yet but I thought I would inform the public of my experience. This happened over 9 months starting with the initial safety of my vehicle. I am writing to you today to express my disappointment with the technical quality of your workmanship provided at your dealership. I just recently moved to Nova Scotia this year and I have required my vehicle to be serviced several times. Not being aware of quality mechanics in this area, I put my faith in the local Mazda dealership. Three times I have had my car serviced at your shop and all three times I had problems. I will explain from my memory what has taken place with my car under your care. Situation 1 - Around Jan-Feb, I took in my car to get a safety check and I was told I failed the requirements due to the fact that my exhaust flange was cracked. I was contacted by your service department to have this fixed and I agreed to the repairs. After receiving my car back, my car was making a loud rattling sound and that my heat shield was ready to fall off. In the next couple of days, I noticed a piece of my heat shield was broken and laying in my driveway. My car stopped rattling afterwards and I contacted Steele Mazda about this issue and they said it wasn't a big deal so I ignored it. About a week later, I noticed a smell of exhaust in my car. I thought maybe this would go away but it never did. I contacted Steele Mazda again to have my car serviced about two and a half weeks later. They told me that my transmission was now leaking oil where as this problem was not there when I had my car in for the initial safety. This makes me wonder and seems very shady. Situation 2 - So I ended up taking my car to fix this exhaust issue. They told me there were various other components that should be looked at and rectified. In addition to the transmission oil leakage, my sway bar links were problematic, my transmission mounts were loose and my belts needed to be changed. So once again, I agreed to have all the work done and I drove my car home. Immediately my belts were squealing like a pig. I had to bring my vehicle in again to have them readjusted so they wouldn't make a loud awful high pitch noise while driving. It also took a few days before they would even service my vehicle which was very surprising. Situation 3 (Most Recent) - I needed to have some winter tires changed over to new tires. I spoke to Erin in the parts department about pricing for new tires. He told me that Steele Mazda could provide me with "Goodyear UltraGrip Ice" winter tires for a price of 571 tax included which is also indicated on my invoice. I received my car and I dropped it off at home because I was in a rush to do other errands. I went to check my tires this morning and noticed they installed the wrong tires. They ended up installing "Goodyear UltraGrip" Winter Tires. At this point I'm so frustrated with your business that I will probably never return again. I don't understand how you can charge the highest labour rates out of all the mechanics and do the worst job. Three times I had my car serviced and I had to bring my car back in on all situations pending this situation. Why was I foolish enough to pay thousands of dollars this year to get work done at your shop. Please clarify. Thanks. More
This was the worst experience in buying a vehicle. First I and my companion waited four hours in the dealership while they "worked their magic" with the numbers. A sales agent who was not part of my sale wa I and my companion waited four hours in the dealership while they "worked their magic" with the numbers. A sales agent who was not part of my sale was the one who tended to us in hopes of keeping us "happy". Other than him the sales rep I worked with did not show up the whole time I waited as he was to busy with other sales. Secondly the Financial adviser was downright rude and ignorant. he came back to me with an offer that I found hard to accept and basically it was a take it or leave it situation. I decided I could handle the quirks and would take the car. Then I was told I couldn't have the car I would need to come back on Monday because I did not have the proper insurance although I had asked my insurance what I needed prior to buying a vehicle. so I returned on that following Monday to buy the car. Note the dealership is a three hour drive from me. Upon returning the financial adviser reviewed the ins and outs of the car. He stated my car was gas and go and I would just need to show up to have my oil changed every 8000km or 4 months whatever came first. I specifically asked if those oil changes would cost me money and he stated they would not and I would simply let them top up my fluids and be off, and that I could go to any mazda dealer. We signed the papers and he placed them in an envelope and I was off to the bay to pick up my car. After three weeks of having my car I figured I would have it registered as time was getting short on my temporary sticker. I walked in to the DMV and had three people search my envelope that was given to me and which was placed in my glove box until the day I took it into the DMV. and the one paper I needed to have my car registered was missing. I figured a simple phone call would fix this so I phoned that same Thursday and left a message. I did not receive a call back so on Friday I phoned again and was told they would check into it. On Saturday I was in the city maybe 30 minutes from the dealer and called again as I could just stop in and pick up the needed documentation. I was told the files were locked and unaccessible and I was asked to return on Monday. since I couldn't return Monday I was told that they would have the documentation couriered to me on Monday afternoon. Monday came and went and no documentation. When I tried to reach them again I had no returned calls. by Tuesday night I started calling Mazda Canada. Wednesday I was in contact with Mazda Canada three times and by late Wednesday afternoon Steele Mazda finally contacted me and blamed me for losing the proper documentation. stating they would never not attach the proper documentation. By Thursday I finally had my paper and had my car properly registered. Now I am about to have the oil changed for the first time and have come to realize I have to pay for the oil changes. Again when I called to clarify the issue I was told he was simply stating what I COULD HAVE had if I bought that extra maintenance package and I simply misunderstood him. NICE!! More
