Can't believe everything you hear I was a new and happy customer of Collins Nissan, until I actually drove off the lot with my new Nissan Rogue and realized what I signed up for isn't I was a new and happy customer of Collins Nissan, until I actually drove off the lot with my new Nissan Rogue and realized what I signed up for isn't what I received. I dealt with Domenic Cappella as my sales agent and when we test drove the Rogue we took out a S model, which had the blind spot indicator safety feature - something I REALLY expressed to Domenic I liked about the car. When Domenic and I chatted about the next model up (SV model) he mentioned the features were all the same as the S model, but that the SV added additional features like power seating and moon roof etc. I purchased the show room SV model and didn't test drive it - I figured what's the point if it has all the same features as the S but adds more?! You can imagine my disappointment when I drove away and found out the SV model I ended up going with doesn't come with the blind spot indicator. When I drove the car off the lot I couldn't understand why the blind spot indicator wasn't working. That night I read my owner's manual and went through all the settings only to find my car definitely does not have the blind spot indicator feature. My next step involved checking Nissan's website to find that the blind spot indicator is an OPTIONAL feature on SV models. I feel as a Nissan sales specialist, I should have been able to trust that what my sales agent told me I was getting in the vehicle was true. It shouldn't have taken me driving the car off the lot and Google searching standard features on these vehicles to find out this feature is optional. I would have expected a Nissan sales specialist to know this about the SV models and ensure mine had the feature, especially since Domenic and I chatted AT LENGTH about this specific safety feature, during the test drive and while negotiating the deal. I emailed Domenic to make him aware of my unhappiness the day after I picked up my car and the best he could do was offer a couple oil changes. When I further escalated my unhappiness to Domenic I never received a response. I followed up by email with Tony Garofoli, the dealership's general manager. It has been a week since I contacted Tony and I haven't heard a word. Seems like all this dealership cares about is getting a quick deal with no concern for customer retention. You can bet they've lost one customer here. More
