I went to Southside Nissan for a service call for our Nissan Exterra and met Joussef Helal in the parking lot. We had been looking to replace our Exterra with either a used Honda or Mazda; however, aft Nissan Exterra and met Joussef Helal in the parking lot. He truly listened and he delivered a 2024 Nissan Rogue that met all our specifications including price. We highly recommend that you seek Joussef Helal to assist you with the purchase of a vehicle. Brought my 2012 Nissan Maxima to Southside on May 16, 2023, to have them program an after market key fob. 1.5 hours later I was told the fob could not be programed, fine. Another hour later they tell m 2023, to have them program an after market key fob. 1.5 hours later I was told the fob could not be programed, fine. Another hour later they tell me that they can not reprogram my original factory Nissan fob, and that they have disconnected the battery and have to have my car over night, not so fine. This morning, they call to say my car is done, that the reprograming was an issue with a fuse, but they still could not program the after market fob, fine. Walk 2.8km to Southside, the guy tells me stuff I was already told on the phone, then tells me it is $179.20 to not do what I had originally brought the car in for. Not fine at all. He explained that I had to pay for the the time that was spent on the car. So let me see, Southside did an inspection of the car, which was not needed, nor did I ask for, Southside, washed the car, which was not needed, nor did I ask for. Southside did not/could not program the fob that I brought in, which is what I asked for and needed. They wasted 2.5 hours of my time, which I guess to Southside is worth nothing, and left me without a car for half a day. Southside Nissan will not see any future business from me. More
It was on 5th July 2022 that my Nissan Armada sprung OBD2 error codes 1759,1757,1278,1279.This indicated that the TCM malfunctioned. I brought it to Morrey Nissan of Burnaby on 12th July 2022. The service re error codes 1759,1757,1278,1279.This indicated that the TCM malfunctioned. I brought it to Morrey Nissan of Burnaby on 12th July 2022. The service rep said that the technician reported burnt transmission oil, clutch wear and that the transmission had a catastrophic failure and needed a new transmission at the cost of $8000. There was no catastrophic failure; there was no burning of transmission oil. This was an outright lie designed for non mechanically inclined customers. I paid Morrey Nissan of Burnaby $150 for diagnostics which I knew was fraudulent and then took the vehicle which was still drivable to Pacific Driveline. The owners were nice enough to provide me a diagnosis of the situation and to eliminate the possibility of solenoid problems. They confirmed that it was indeed the TCM that needed replacement. However, they were reluctant to do the work. After a few months of no action, I decided to take it onto myself to purchase a refurbished TCM from Amazon and to re and re it myself, being aware that it was a gamble that the TCM still requires a programming. The install was a success, but the ECM did not recognise the new TCM and threw an OBD2 error code 1065. I realized at this juncture that the only people that had access to coding are the Nissan dealerships as the programming website requires a subscription that no other transmission shops are willing to pay. The folks at Morrey Nissan Burnaby were not honest so I decided to try the folks at Dilwari at Nissan Southside. My call to them was very reassuring as the Service representative seem to be mechanically inclined. The Nissan Armada got progressively worse and this time, I had it towed in. The face to face with the service representative and the technician was pleasant. The Service Representative allowed the technician to talk to me and provide me with a plan of what he can do. The technician was honest. He admitted that he has not done a rewrite over a refurbished TCM and was going to give it his best. This is all I expect from anyone. 4 to 5 hours later, the technician called my cell and elaborated all the things he tried to do to override the original programming: All of which failed. Since I do not have any expertise in automotive programming, I cannot attest to how the Americans seem to be able to rewrite their refurbished TCMS.. Given Hobson’s Choice I can accept this as I already know it was a gamble. The cost of a new unit was going to set me back $2500(dealership price which is upcharged) which was much less than the cost of a new transmission that I did not need. This was the afternoon before the weekend. Kudos to Nissan Southside repair department. I got my Nissan Armada back by Monday 16th Oct 2022....This is how I had hoped a dealership should operate... All i needed was battery health check but Shaun Hussain sold me oil change, antifreeze, brake washing.... I usually pay under $300. DO NOT let Shaun attend you. DO NOT!! He is all about sales. My car was there for an hour and no parts were replaced. oil and antifreeze cost me that much. For an hour, labour was around $800. Buy a Tesla. They won't sell you an oil change. He told me that my brakes need to be flushed and erased that cost me over $193 in labour. I had my brakes checked 2 weeks ago. They were perfect. In an hour, they checked the battery. When I called the Manager said, Madam, you didn't come here. You went somewhere else. Thieves. They wanted more money from me to do more tests. For $905 they didn't do all the test. They needed to do more tests to fix my car. My car has more problems. Never again. Although all the other service people have been amazing but I will never trust them. It was my last time with Southside Nissan service center. More

He treated me with kindness and respect and as if I was the only person he was dealing with. He was truly amazingly helpful and informative.
