TLDR - Southside literally crashed our van during service and will not pay to fix it, and lied about filing a police report Our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was booked in for service on Friday November 4th for and will not pay to fix it, and lied about filing a police report Our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was booked in for service on Friday November 4th for what we believed to be a battery issue. After dropping it off our advisor Shelley McLean notified us later that same day that the repair was complete and that we could pick it up. After picking it up and driving it home, when we went to start the vehicle it did not start. We returned it to Southside so they could complete the repair properly (having obviously not been done properly the first time). After calling the following Monday November 6th to follow up with repair, Shelley informed me that "they didn't have enough to do the repair properly, but they thought it would work?". I just wanted the repair completed properly so I could move on, I ignored this and asked them to call me when the repair was properly completed. After hearing not very much for a simple battery replacement, I called Shelley on Thursday November 9th. She did not take my call, but the assistant service manager Theresa Badry reached out to me that they believe my repair is complete but they weren't 100% sure yet (?), but also informed me that during a test drive my vehicle was involved in a collision. Mistakes obviously happen, people unintentionally get into collisions every day. Theresa said that they got the other drivers information and they had filed a police report. Theresa informed me that I will have to take the van back after the battery repair, and go through my insurance to get the body work fixed after they crashed it. The following morning I reached out to RCMP to get a copy of the police report because the pictures of the damage didn't seem consistent in my mind with "the other driver running a red light". The person I spoke with at the RCMP detachment confirmed that Theresa lied and the dealership did not file a police report. Thinking (rightly) that this seems crazy that I should contact my insurance and go through with the repairs at my expense even though they literally crashed it and Theresa lied about making a police report. I reach out to the GM Matt Swainson on Friday November 10th around 9:30AM. After talking with him for while, he reluctantly agrees that the dealership should take responsibility for the collision (which seems crazy to even type out because an employee at the dealership was driving when they crashed it). He agrees that Southside will incur the cost/insurance dealings to repair, and the cost to replace the 2 car seats for our 1 & 3 year old because they are legally required to be replaced after a collision. He did not agree that our new van will depreciate in value do to their error, and would not offer any additional compensation. I agreed at the time because I wanted to put this unfortunate situation behind me. Around 4PM this same day, Theresa called me back because Matt went home with the flu. She informed that the Controller Rochelle Oakes told her to tell me that they in the end will Southside will not incur the cost/insurance dealings for the repair and that I have to go through my insurance. Obviously not satisfied with this solution, I called back to reception so I could leave Matt a voicemail and the receptionist informs me that me it still on site and did not go home, but was currently is a meeting with Rochelle. I wanted to hold for him because I had a funny feeling he would ghost me (especially after Theresa lied to me about him going home with the flu), and the receptionist informed that their phones "don't hold calls well (?)" and that she will give Matt the message and he will call me back after his meeting. Matt did not call me back and went home for the day. They still have my van, not sure if the battery is fixed, but it has a couple new dents & scratches. Thanks Southside More

Worst day of my life buying a truck there I was told that it had a heavy duty transmission in it not the aisin transmission which is having a lot of problems with it. 3 days after the deposit I get t that it had a heavy duty transmission in it not the aisin transmission which is having a lot of problems with it. 3 days after the deposit I get the paperwork on it showing that this truck has a aisin transmission. 5th wheel hitch was part of the deal called them back same day of the deal stating that it has to be 20,000 lb hitch,no where was it said to me no its only the prep going in . On the day of picking up the truck found only the prep for the 5th wheel and they gave me a 400 dollar ball for a gooseneck hitch.....I'm not hauling pigs and cattle to the market! Didn't touch up the front bumper with paint sent me the paint to do myself.. Didn't reset the oil gauge after the oil change...my question is did they do it ? Afew weeks go by when I did a couple truck washes found a dent and a huge scratch on the truck. Just sick how a dealership would try to hide that with wax and clear coat..Didn't have to show them the spot .... After another dealership found that this truck had 4 recalls on it will known before I bought it and Southside Dodge didn't tell me about them ..one was on the aisin transmission which had to be removed off the truck. Had a follow-up call from the service department which didn't get anything done after one month. There's more but as you can see it's the worst place in alberta to buy a truck. For the record this was the auto mangers truck with 7000 plus kms. Should of gone with Westlock Brown's dodge/ram deal.. More

I was emailing salesman Sheldon Savoie back and forward for a week about a Jeep I was interested in purchasing. I told him I was from Saskatchewan and would be traveling to Alberta to view the vehicle in q for a week about a Jeep I was interested in purchasing. I told him I was from Saskatchewan and would be traveling to Alberta to view the vehicle in question. It was implied that the jeep would be through the shop and ready to go by the day I planned on coming. After driving 10 hours to Red Deer, Sheldon then told me the vehicle was taken apart in the workshop getting repairs and likely wouldn’t be done for 3-4 days. I was in communication with Sheldon numerous times up to the morning of my arrival, and there was no prior mention of the jeep still being torn apart in the shop, which should have been a common courtesy. Sheldon also notified me after I arrived that the price of the vehicle had been increased $2624 to cover costs of repairs being done and the dealership refused to budge on the price. Would have been great to know the vehicle couldn’t be driven and be told they were going to jack the price up before I left Saskatchewan. Very disappointed with the service and communication. More

Just wanted to say THANKS! Had a recent total loss of a vehicle and Southside was instrumental in helping me get the most from my insurance for replacement cost value. Matt Oszu Had a recent total loss of a vehicle and Southside was instrumental in helping me get the most from my insurance for replacement cost value. Matt Oszust went above and beyond in getting things straightened out with my insurance, making sure all the options and details weren't missed and that translated into a greater settlement being reached. Matt, Landon Yoder and Colten Luck all helped in making it happen and I just wanted to say thanks. If you are looking for a vehicle be sure to check out Southside. More
