Incomplete inspection, looking to double charge me I had my vehicle serviced early September 2017. This included a full inspection and a few repairs on the vehicle. About two months after this trip, I had my vehicle serviced early September 2017. This included a full inspection and a few repairs on the vehicle. About two months after this trip, we began experiencing problems with the vehicle so we took it to a different dealership. At this point, we found out that the brakes were nearly worn right down and gone, (something that should have been addressed two months prior during the inspection) as well as some spark plugs that needed to be fixed (they were well passed the time point for replacement). I have two possible conclusions: 1) South Trail was trying to double dip by telling us that our brakes were ok and only needed to be serviced. Once our brakes failed, we would have to take it back and get them replaced. That way they could get money for the service and for the replacement. 2) They didn't properly inspect the vehicle, or they don't know how to properly inspect vehicles. They also might have very low standards for safety, if they think that highly worn brakes are still safe to drive with. With a newborn baby travelling in this vehicle, the consequences of their actions could have been devastating. This is not the proper way to handle business, and the quality of the work is very clearly lacking. I recommend that anyone who wants their vehicle to be maintained and serviced properly go somewhere else. More
