Amazing salesman with great attitude and knowledge I came into south trail with no intention of actually buying a car and was more looking for price point comparisons for the truck I thought I wanted. After visiting multiple dealerships I was hoping for a quick in and out and not to get into the whole sale pitch with anyone. Luckily I did not get a ridiculous sales pitch but the friendly knowledgeale staff were able to change my mind about Ram trucks and what they it had to offer me compared to the truck I originally had my eye on. By focusing on what the vehicle could offer me and not the price/what could I afford the staff changed my mind about not just Rams but what a good car salesman is like. Thanks!!! More

Extra effort to fix significant problems in new truck. I bought a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT Ecodiesel. It's a hard to find truck with the options I wanted, so it was sourced from an out-of-town dealership, and tru I bought a 2016 Ram 1500 SLT Ecodiesel. It's a hard to find truck with the options I wanted, so it was sourced from an out-of-town dealership, and trucked in. It had 28 kilometers on it when it arrived. The front chrome bumper was damaged, and the rear bumper was out of alignment. STC sent the truck to the body shop, replacing, I think, the front bumper, and aligning the rear bumper. Looks brand new, now - just what I expected. Also, while the recall and service records for the truck showed that all updates were completed by the source dealership, the recall for the wrong type and viscosity of diesel engine oil was in fact not done. Once I demonstrated that the oil was incorrect, STC immediately changed it, and also filled the diesel and DPF tanks to the brim. I definitely didn't expect to find both tanks full when I picked up the truck. That's a significant cost. I've bought quite a few new vehicles in my time, and when difficulties like this happen, it's a real struggle to get a dealership to correct things promptly. It usually involves walking away from the sale, or throwing a wild-xxxxxx act that embarrasses my wife. Not in this case. I credit Aaron Kerluke with orchestrating the proper people to solve these problems, and Phil Mitchell for getting it done quickly. Kudos to both. If I buy another Chrysler / Ram vehicle, I know where to go. You should definitely consider South Trail Chrysler, too. More

What a Rip Off!!! On Dec. 27, 2016 our 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Limited (fully loaded, top of the line) had a ticking noise in the engine, so we took it South Trail Chrysler On Dec. 27, 2016 our 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Limited (fully loaded, top of the line) had a ticking noise in the engine, so we took it South Trail Chrysler. While we were there, we also test drove two used dodge trucks. We then went to see the service adviser to find out the problem. He told us that it wasn't good, our truck needed a new engine. He gave us two options, pay $10,000 for a new engine or trade it in on a new truck. But what made us suspicious is that he had already lined up a new car sales adviser to set up a deal to buy a new truck. My husband informed them that we did not want a new truck and then they referred us to a used car adviser who had not authority to do any deal. The used car manager informed us that our truck would require $14,000 in repairs (including brakes) and therefore he would only give us $15,000 for our truck. They tried very hard to talk us into a deal but we finally told them, NO. The next day we took our Dodge Ram to the dealer in Airdrie and after doing a thorough job of going through the truck, they found that we did not need a new engine, but we did need 4 lifters, a cam shaft and timing belt replaced for a grand total of $4,700 including gst. Bottom line, they tried to rip us off. They didn't even look at the truck to determine the problem and they put alot of pressure on us to buy another vehicle with them. For anyone who is thinking of going to them for service, don't do it. Consequently, the new car adviser told us they fired the poor used car adviser. And he really had nothing to do with the situation other than to test drive the two used trucks my husband was interested in. More
