I was told a minimum of 4 times that because I did not buy the vehicle from them, and did not buy extended warranty it would be unlikely they would be able to do much for me on a rental vehicle. ( this was a warranty issue by the way) Long story short, the rental vehicle was eventually approved by the district manager from Chrysler, but not without considerable hassle and again, being repeatedly reminded that because I did not buy the vehicle from them.... Bla, bla , bla. When I finally went to pick up the vehicle, four days later, there was duct take 'goop' still all around the back window, from where I had had to stick the garbage bags I put up to stop glass dropping everywhere and keep the rain out of the gaping hole in the back. They had not cleaned the 'goopy' residue off. Worse then that tho, the back tailgate was full of broken glass that had not been cleaned out. Every time I opened/shut the back class, more kept falling out and the rattling inside sounded like little mini marbles. They told me I would have to come back to have it re detailed (why wasn't this done the first time round??? ... seeing as they had had my vehicle for 4 days at this point???) So , I had to drive home (20 mins ) and then return again (20 mins) and then wait for almost 2 hours for it to be detailed again, for them to do the job they should have done right, in the first place. During this time, I sat in the 'customer lounge' .... what an experience that was. Like someones nasty basement, furnished with 'throw out couches' that looked like they had been rescued from the curbside on large item day. An aerosol air freshener kept squirting air freshner every 15 mins or so, to mask the smell. Just nasty. Finally my vehicle was done, but I was told not all the glass had been removed because there are 'channels' within the back gate where the glass collects and I would just have to wait for it to work its way down. I was told to go back yet again to have them have another look at it and try to get more of the glass out. Surely Chrysler has a 'tool' or some kind of piece of equipment to get this glass out??? What a 'Rinky-Dinky' , 'Mickey Mouse' outfit this is. The dealership looks like it has NEVER been updated or upgraded, it is still stuck back in the 70's. Drab, dreary and outdated. I would not use them again if they were the only dealership in the area. I will make the journey to Barrie or somewhere else to avoid dealing with these people again. And they wonder why people don't buy their vehicles from them in the first place!? More
My experience here was just awful. This was my first car purchase. I purchased a 2008 Dodge Avenger last August and my first impression was it was a tiny, family operated dealership and the service was frie purchase. I purchased a 2008 Dodge Avenger last August and my first impression was it was a tiny, family operated dealership and the service was friendly. I assumed they were trustworthy and I was far from right. I was told that my car had all four brand new never been used tires, had brand new wiper blades and brand new brakes. When I went to pick up my car a week later She told me she had "Mixed up the files and only two of the tires were brand new and the other two were only half a year old. Me knowing nothing of cars was thrilled. It wasn't util I took it home when my boyfriends dad was looking at my new car, he noticed that my "new" tires were so extremely weather checked that they were unsafe to drive with. I was shocked so I took the car back to Orillia and asked if they would replace the tires. I paid $10,900 for the car the least they could do was put on new tires or at least tell me the truth about them. when confronted the owners daughter, the same lady who went through the whole car purchase with me, told me that she again "got her files mixed up" and said that she never told me the tires were new at all and said there was absolutely nothing she could do for me. even though I had two people with me that know she said they were brand new. I then took my car to a local tire shop which has an excellent reputation, they told me that those tires would have never passed a certification and they would not let me leave their shop with the tires because they were UNSAFE and a DANGER to myself and others on the road. I had an absolutely terrible experience with these people and will never EVER recommend them to anyone else and I will NEVER go back. They lied to me, did not fix my problem and hung up on mine and my uncles calls when I tried to explain my situation. This is a terrible dealership that I recommend you steer clear of. -NOT HAPPY More
The touch screen went blank/black and nothing would work on my 2013 Dodge Ram truck. I called the dealership and they had the truck two hours later. The truck went in on time and I was driving away half an on my 2013 Dodge Ram truck. I called the dealership and they had the truck two hours later. The truck went in on time and I was driving away half an hour later and everything was fixed (with an upgrade). Service was courteous and friendly. You could not ask for better. I did not purchase the truck there but I they treated me as if I had. Just for information, before I contacted this dealer I contacted the other Dodge dealer in Orillia and was told they could not fit me in with the Service Department for 10 days, and that is supposed to be a five star dealership!! I will definitely use Simcoe County Chrysler in future. More
