I am quite disappointed with my purchase. I purchased my first Toyota, a new 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime with the Technology package (loaded) on November 21, 2024. I had Lloydminster Toyota add I purchased my first Toyota, a new 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime with the Technology package (loaded) on November 21, 2024. I had Lloydminster Toyota add a trailer hitch - beware, they will remove the kick sensor for the rear door and not give it to you and you will loose the function. I had great difficulty (days of leaving phone message and emails) getting it back and when I did, they cut the wires to disable it. There is a way to keep the kick sensor and functionality with a hitch, you can search for the video. Also, - this is unbelievable - no one knew that it does not have a command start that starts the gasoline engine. It has a Remote Air Conditioning System activated from the key FOB or App (if it ever works). However, this only works if the temperature is warmer than -12C --- not much good in Canadian winters. Starting the A/C from the App rarely works. I told the dealership and they got me to phone Toyota Canada and talk to them. I did call them and did a failed A/C start test while on the phone with a lady and she said she could not help me because I didn't receive an error code. Other problems that I purchased are: the seat memory buttons did not work, the drivers side mirror glass is distorted, there is a wind noise from the passenger side, the phone charger only works when it feels like it, I have to buy smaller sunglasses so I can put a set in the glasses holder. Lloyminster Toyota did repair the seat memory buttons and have ordered some parts for a couple other problems. Here are some weird things about the vehicle: the hood uses a rod to hold it up (1970s vintage), the accelerator pedal is mounted to the floor (1970's vintage) making it nearly impossible to keep the floor clean, it has paddle shifters - totally unnecessary, the side mirrors don't have a memory like the seats, and the $750 block heater I purchased with it requires a special cord that fits into a plug that is mounted in the bumper and it only draws about 260 Watts of power (normal is 750 or greater). Maybe I have been spoiled by driving GM products all my life. More
