My wife and I are 'repeat' Toyota customers. Our first purchase from this dealership was a 2007 Corolla CE. The second was a 2010 Corolla Sport. As of November 8th, 2013 we are now the proud and happy owners of a RAV4 XLE. We are repeat customers because of outstanding service. Mr. Vong is an excellent example of the quality of personnel we have come to appreciate and dare I say expect at Sherwood Park Toyota. What struck me about this young man was his positive, friendly and very professional demeanor. We've had the misfortune of being the targets of high pressure and even unscrupulous sales tactics at other dealerships. Mr. Vong displayed a refreshing level of thoughtfulness that was the polar opposite of such salesmanship. By allowing us a measure of 'space' we came to a final decision without feeling uncomfortably pressured. Would we recommend Mr. Vong as a someone who will help you with a Toyota purchase? Absolutely. My experience with Sherwood Park Toyota started at the end of September when I walked into the showroom and the receptionist asked if she could help me. I had no sooner answered when I looked up and there end of September when I walked into the showroom and the receptionist asked if she could help me. I had no sooner answered when I looked up and there stood Sophear with his hand outstretched, introducing himself with a smile on his face welcoming me to the showroom. This would be the first of many pleasant associations with Sophear and the staff of Sherwood Park Toyota. In his office, we talked and I told him that I was an owner of a RAV4 2010 and that I wanted to upgrade to a 2013 because of the safety features. We went to the RAV4 in the showroom and he explained in detail ALL the features. We went back to his office and talked prices and trade in details over a hot chocolate (which he fetched for me). I was having trouble making a decision and he asked if there was anything he could do to help me in making a decision. That was when Shawn came in. I felt more relaxed after our long conversation during both our feedback and forth. I informed him that I have had dealings with salesmen and that I wanted to think it over. The thing that turned me around regarding my decision was when Shawn said "that decision is fine and that we are not here to push you into a decision." In mid October, my wife and I went back to Sherwood Park Toyota and informed Sophear of our decision. I also informed him that I wanted a specific colour for my vehicle. He said that he would look into it and left. He came back with Shawn who explained that it would have to be ordered. He said it would take a week or two. After another discussion dealing with my experience on vehicle orders from another dealer, he also indicated that there would be no charge for the order. The next step was the introduction to Greg from accounting. I found that he went through the purchase proceeding in a very competent and professional manner. He took his time. Although I could see that he was very busy with clients, it did not deter him from the one on one settings which I find very important in these situations. We left there feeling confident that we had made a good deal. The next step was picking up my new RAV4 2013. Both Sophear and Shawn met us at the reception desk. After celebrating with hot chocolates and a short conversation, Sophear took us to our vehicle and proceeded to go through the whole vehicle from under hood to all the way around to inside the vehicle. From what I understand, I am supposed to rate the evaluation up to 10. But I am going to raise the bar to 10 plus. All I can say is thank you all, especially Sophear for giving me so much of his time. I look forward to working with Sherwood Park Toyota. (my Toyota dealing) to help keep my new RAV4 on the road. I also got leather and heated seats installed and was given a rental to make sure I wasn't without a car. When I showed up unannounced the next day I was not swarmed by anyone and was left alone to look at the vehicles unimpeded. When Owen noticed that I was interested in a vehicle he came up to me and was very professional, personable and helpful, we went for a test drive right away and I ended up buying a 2013 Tacoma TRD shortly after. They were all awesome and everyone loved my dog Buster and he was also treated royally.
