Having owned Toyotas since 1983 our major questions were Corolla or Camry and which dealer. We decided on a Camry and, after much research, Sherwood Park Toyota. To cut to the chase. We are very happy with our 2014 Camry and with Sherwood Park Toyota. We would recommend Sherwood Park Toyota to friends and family. We dealt with two sales people. Anya Dickerson and Nav Sandu. Our initial contact was with Anya via the dealer website and internet chat service. She communicated with me by phone and email, answered all my questions accurately and promptly. She asked for our requirements, found a car to match and gave us financing and payment information. At no time did Anya or Nav try to upsell us to more expensive models or options. Anya is very hard working and eager to provide excellent customer service, even after the sale, all of which is consistent with reviews here on dealerrater. When it came time to visit the dealership for a test drive I forgot to phone for an appointment Anya was extremely busy and so enlisted Nav Sandu to assist us. We had Nav running around for a number of hours arranging test drives (on a nasty -21 deg snowy day) in two different vehicles and then later back and forth getting information re prices for options or offers from his manager, Shawn Diakur. At no time did we feel any pressure to accept offers or to rush the deal through. Nav presented us with information, answered questions and did not pressure us into a hasty decision. Eventually we made a deal that I am happy with. The deal was consistent with the all inclusive figures Anya had provided (no nasty surprises) and represented a discount compared to those available at toyota.ca. As with Anya, Nav is very hard working and dedicated to excellent customer service even after the sale is completed. No task or request was too much trouble and I would recommend either of them. The next step was to arrange financing where we worked with Greg Bonar. He offered extended protection packages, which we declined and did not exert the pressure we have experienced at other dealers in past years. Next day we returned, on a really filthy night. Nav took our trade in, explained all the features of the new car and checked that all was at it should be in terms of requested options. We completed the financing with another gentleman whose name escapes me, sorry. The deal completed we drove off two happy customers. The dealership looks new. It is a spacious, clean facility with a good range of vehicles on display and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. All dealers start off being nice but right now I see no reason why that would change at Sherwood Park Toyota. In the past I have often said that car dealers will always screw you and the only question is by how much and did you enjoy it. Lower prices for things like document fees and PDI would be nice but by comparing costs I saw at toyota.ca and reports of horror stories at other car dealers I am happy with our deal and I did enjoy it. We were looking for a '13 Tundra late in the model year, hoping to take advantage of the year end incentives from Toyota. We didn't have any luck with the dealers here in Calgary. Some were inflexible with pricing and others seemed unwilling to search for the vehicle we wanted. I contacted Sherwood Park Toyota and started dealing with Anya. I was in Edmonton for a weekend, so I stopped in to talk with Anya. She was very eager to help me find the right truck at the right price. What impressed me the most was how she dealt with my questions. She drives a Tundra, so her product knowledge was excellent; much better than other sales people that I had been dealing with. There was one question that she didn't have the answer for, but rather than trying to stickhandle around the question, she walked me over to parts/service and got the answer from them. It was obvious that it was important to her that I get great service. She found a truck at an out of town dealership that they would bring in for us. When we came to pick up the truck, everything was as it should be. The truck was in perfect condition and Anya made sure that we were comfortable with all aspects of operating the vehicle. All in all, the shopping experience was enjoyable. If another Toyota is in our future, I would enjoy working with Anya again. More
Very friendly staff and very nice facility but they are under staff and overbooked. It is with great regret that I would not recommend purchasing or servicing your vehicle at this dealership. I will not get into details but we had a problem with the airbags in our 2012 Sienna and they were unable to resolve the problem after three schedule visits. They had the vehicle for a total of five complete work days. The problem was that they were under staff and overbooked. This is not the first time that we had issues with the vehicles not being ready after we dropped the vehicle off for schedule maintenance at seven o’clock in the morning and at 5 o’clock it was still not ready. We have a Tundra truck and Sienna van and he had all of our maintenance and repairs done at Sherwood Park Toyota but unfortunately he cannot continue supporting a dealership that treats their loyal clients in this manner. I have known both Art and Aaron for quite a few years - as I have worked in the automotive industry in the past. From my experience, I know first hand how SP Toyota strives for customer satisfaction. So when it was time for my mother in law to find a vehicle, Art was naturally my first call. My mother in law originally wanted to buy Private to avoid the " dealership sales process" as she has had some bad experiences with her past purchases at other dealerships. After introducing her to Aaron she realized she was going to have a postive experience this time around. We went for a test drive #1 and then test drive #2 the day later when she decided she was ready to take the next step. I was pleased to hear her say that she felt very comfortable and even enjoyed the experience. She was pleasantly surprised with the warm environment and everyone was friendly. She did not feel pressured through out the sale....The entire crew was fantastic to work with!! Best yet - I know she is well taken care of! Which makes my life sooo much easier!! :) Thank you Aaron and Art! Keep up the great work! More
Great service. I was approached right away but with a no pressure atmosphere. It was a cold day and the vehicle I wanted to look at was brought to the door without much intention of a purchase or test drive pressure atmosphere. I ended up purchasing the vehicle and after the sale was complete I had some stuff I felt still needed to be taken care of and after a week of owning the vehicle they still granted me the same immediate service. I'm a very busy person. I work an average of 16 hours a day including weekends. I'm usually only available from 12 midnight till 8 am. I visited Sherwood Park Toyota one Sunday (the only day off I had after more than a month of waiting). And there I met Preet. She was very helpful and not pushy. She listened to what I needed and my situation. After that, we only communicated thru emails and texts. She answered all my questions very patiently.The next time I went back to Sherwood Park Toyota, it was a done deal. I bought a brand new RAV4. More
