WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I attended the dealership on 2014May07 to inquire on a new 2014 4runner and to see the trade in value of my 2006 4runner. I spoke with Mike Muir Onlin I attended the dealership on 2014May07 to inquire on a new 2014 4runner and to see the trade in value of my 2006 4runner. I spoke with Mike Muir Online Sales Manager who after some negotiating and speaking with Bob Thompson was able to meet my needs pending financing as I am firm on the monthly payment I'm comfortable with. Mike then brought a document that need my signature before I could speak with financing. Before signing, I ensured I was not purchasing anything and if I changed my mind there would be no consequences, every time, Mike assured me I was not buying anything. (LIER!!) I was then told my Mike that I was required to leave a deposit. I asked for clarification as I confirmed I did not purchase anything yet. He agreed that I did not make a purchase; however, (yet again) to go any further and to check financing it was a requirement. Mike stated they require $5000 for the deposit; however, as I refused, he stated I could give the minimum $1000. I asked him point blank "will I get my deposit back regardless if I actually purchase the vehicle".... his response every time I asked, which was approximately 7 times was "yes, you'll get it back". I then moved on to finance where I spoke with Donna Fruhwirth (finance manager) who also stated I would get my deposit back regardless if I purchase the vehicle as it depended on the price. I asked Donna several times before, during and after she took the deposit. On 2014May10 I returned Donna's call from Thursday at which point I was advised my payment went up as I owed a little more on my current vehicle that I had thought. As the payment was now higher than I was willing to pay, I told her I would not be going through with the purchase and that I would be by to get my deposit. Donna asked I contact Mike to see if he could do better on the price to bring it back down..... I attempted to do so; however, he was not in; therefore, I sent him an email. Mike emailed me back stated if I was not continuing with the purchase I forfeit my deposit as I was in a binding contract. On 2014May12 I attended the dealership to speak with Bob. I recorded this conversation where Bob explained the policy on the deposit which was not the same as how Mike and Donna explained it. He stated I must have misunderstood; however, I told him I asked a directed question in English and was given an answer in English.... there was no room for error... I was lied to every time I asked. I asked Bob to see "this contract" at which point he gave me a copy which had my signature; however, more information was added to it since I signed it. I stated this to him at which point he stated "we always add the rest of the information after" I then stated "so you altered the contract after I signed it to add in the deposit" he stated "yes". (I hadn't given them my deposit when I signed that form.... the deposit was take much later by Donna) After speaking with Bob, he agreed to lower the price to match what I initially could afford/wanted and stated they are holding up their end of the agreement and for me to now hold up my end. I told him that if the price had stayed the same I would have purchased the vehicle; however, now I feel extorted and forced to buy it as I was threatened with the loss of $1000 of I did not. He stated he was not forcing me and that everything they do is legal under AMVIC (Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council), including altering contracts after they've been signed. Bob refused to return my deposit and told me he would get Shawn Diakur General Sales Manager to contact me at 1pm..... I did not hear from Shawn; therefore, I contacted him and left a message on his voice mail. On 2014May13 I called Shawn again and this time was able to reach him. Shawn was understanding and receptive. He stated he would review my file and call me back. Within 10 minutes, Shawn contacted me, apologized and stated he would refund my deposit. :) Approximately 5 minutes after speaking with Shawn, Cindy from AMVIC called me and inquired if I had spoke with Shawn as she sent them a letter including a copy of my complaint and contacted him herself. I don't know if Shawn refunded my deposit because he felt I was wronged OR because of my complaint with AMVIC. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, as I would like to believe there is at least one person at that dealership with integrity. More
Very Knowelgeable I was in the market for a new tundra and Mike took me for two test drives with exactly what I wanted and then walked me through the entire process add I was in the market for a new tundra and Mike took me for two test drives with exactly what I wanted and then walked me through the entire process added the options that I wanted and broke everything down into simplified terms for me to understand. It was my first time buying a car from a dealership so I was a bit worried about unknowingly being pressured into making a decision I was not comfortable with. Unlike other dealerships I've visited, Justin here was incredibly friendly and made me feel 100% comfortable with making a decision on my own. He was very helpful and made all efforts to make me happy with my purchase. Even after the deal was done and I've driven off with my newly bought car he still continued to provide excellent customer service! More

We were kind of in a rush as we had our kids activities to attend that evening and we need to get back from Edmonton ASAP. Boun couldn't have been a nicer guy to deal with!!! He was very conscience of our schedule and did everything he could to keep the process moving as quickly as possible! Curtis ran the paper work, he worked as fast as he could, again another great guy, very friendly and knowledgeable! Overall and excellent experience, the manager even took a moment to thank us which was very kind. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a used vehicle!! More

I could tell from the beginning that she is a true Toyota enthusiast, this fact put me at ease immediately and helped me throughout to my purchase. I knew I was getting the vehicle I wanted and more because of her enthusiasm, product knowledge and ability to "create" the vehicle I wanted. A tip of the hat to Anya, Sherwood Park Toyota, and the rest of the crew there. This is my third purchase so far from SP Toyota, the first two experiences where great (that's why I came back for a third purchase) but I have to say Anya has managed to make great even better. Anya was professional and accommodating and showed a lot of patience - helping me through the purchasing process every step of the way... and it wasn't an easy process either as I am from out-of-province and had to jump over a number of hurdles to get insurance and all my ducks in a row. Anya even came to get me to pick up my new car... which was a nice touch when you're from out-of-town, don't know your way around and need to get settled. Anya is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and responsive - swift to respond to emails, calls... and always with an answer that meets your needs. I highly recommend her sales services... I'd send my grandmother to do to business with Anya. Great job to her and her colleagues at Sherwood Park Toyota ! More
