Lied to us I bought a 2016 tundra and bought the extended warranty which covered all the oil changes. 65,000km later I get a bill for $1300 they changed all the I bought a 2016 tundra and bought the extended warranty which covered all the oil changes. 65,000km later I get a bill for $1300 they changed all the oil‘s transmission rear and front diffs transfer case power steering they told me this would be all free till the end of my warranty. Guess not lol not impressed. I referred a friend to buy his tundra there and he did and he bought the same warranty as I and was told the same thing he is at 25,000km now. He is not impressed as well oh and I’m still waiting for my referral check two years later. Don’t get me wrong I love my truck just don’t like the way I was treated at Sherwood Park Toyota this is my fourth new vehicle that I bought there this is the first extended warranty that I bought is anybody else having the same problem as me? More

Highlander LE AWD 2018 On 2018 Jan 02, I bought a new Highlander from Sherwood Park Toyota with around 15 km on it. My Sales Agent was Blake and the Financing Manager was Ra On 2018 Jan 02, I bought a new Highlander from Sherwood Park Toyota with around 15 km on it. My Sales Agent was Blake and the Financing Manager was Raza. Buying experience was great and I have never met a knowledgeable, friendly and professional Finance Manager before Raza. Usually, I spend hardly 10 to 15 minutes with a Finance guy at any dealership but I spent over an hour with Raza due to his friendly and helpful approach. On 2018 Jan 10, two warning lights turned on in the dashboard. Vehicle had around 70 kms on it. One light was for low tire, that I could understand as it can happen to any vehicle at any time. Second light was for check engine (AWD system not working, contact the dealership). I was pretty upset about the check engine light as the vehicle only had nearly 70 km on it. On 2018 Jan 11, I took the vehicle back to the dealership and it had around 102 kms on it. It was diagnosed that a sensor (or some other part) that was not functioning properly needed to be replaced. The Service Adviser informed me that it was safe to drive and in case, if the same light turns on, keep driving. She stated they have placed an order for the new part and whenever it will arrive, I will be notified to come and replace it. She also informed me that two other Highlanders that they sold had the same problem and they were still waiting for the parts to arrive. My Highlander was a brand new vehicle having very low mileage and one of the purposes of a new vehicle is to stay away from a mechanic shop for at least first few thousand kms. I bought a new vehicle before less than two weeks ago and spent half of my day at the dealership. On 2018 Jan 12, I reported my repulsive experience to the dealership management. On 2018 Jan 13, Douglas, Assistant Sales Manager replied to me with the below message: “We appreciate the feedback and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused by I can assure you if the service department says it is safe and ok to drive then do as informed, this situations are very very rare, and especially with a Toyota and rest assured Toyota has the absolutely highest standards in making sure you are taken care of, if you need anything else please don't hesitate to contact me”. On 2018 Jan 14, I replied back to Douglas with the below message: Honestly speaking, I am not very satisfied with your response due to two reasons: 1) "if the service department says it is safe and ok to drive then do as informed" I cannot follow what any mechanic or service department says for a brand new vehicle, I would go with what the vehicle display says. (In case, if it is a 20 years old used vehicle I could go with someone's advice). 2) "this situations are very very rare, and especially with a Toyota" I was informed by your Service Adviser that two other Highlanders got the same problem and after few weeks time the service department is still waiting for the parts to arrive for both of these vehicles. I could write a google review sooner but I was waiting for the parts to arrive and get the vehicle fixed before writing a review. It is 2018 Mar 02 today and no-one has contacted me from the dealership yet to replace the ordered part. In general, my buying experience was ok. My main concern was the misleading information provided by the dealership staff after the vehicle was sold. More

I called Sherwood park Toyota and spoke to Jordan who is one of the used car sales managers. Paullie is the other sales manager i dealt with also. Awesome two guys. They had my car towed to Sherwood Park and told me not to worry and they would take care of the problem. They provided a car for me while it was in getting fixed. I picked my car up today and was greeted by both Paullie and Jordan. They said she was ready to go and everything was fixed at no charge to me. All I can say guys is what an awesome service you have provided. I have nothing but great things to say about you guys and your salesman Karan. There is definitely a shortage of great service out there in the industry, but these guys have figured it out. Good on you all for taking care of the issues. Thank you very much. Greatly appreciate.
